"i've been thinking bout you. do you think about me still?"

chris bounced his leg impatiently as he waited for vivienne to show up in the library.
she texted the group chat that she had a meeting during lunch so she couldn't join them today. he texted her on the side and told her to meet him in her study hall. he skipped class just to see her. he just felt weird about the last time he saw her yesterday and needed to see her again.
the girl walks into the library and spots him immediately.
he hoped she doesn't know he asked audrey about her.
she sat down and tried to read the boy's expression. he just seemed happy to see her.
she was sure he had class this period.
"we missed you at lunch today," he whispers.
"i missed you guys, too," she presses her lips into a smile.
truthfully, she didn't miss him. she felt sick to her stomach every time she thought about him and she couldn't figure out why. sure, the reminder that he was a cruel teenage boy was enough to do it at first, but it's been 24 hours now and she still couldn't shake this bad feeling.
"i already have a test thursday." chris shook his head, taking out his laptop.
maybe she felt sick because her friends are on to her about liking chris. she's sure they always have been, but it's something they've only discussed openly once or twice.
