I awoke the next day and groaned. I opened my eyes, locking onto the gems in front of me. the two gems that could save my mum. I sighed, getting up and changing into a new set of clothes. As I did this, I began to wonder if jim found anything... and to my luck, he did.
opening my phone, I saw jim messaged me this morning. "hey bro, we found something. meet you at trollmarket tomorrow night." the message said. I nodded and sent a thumbs-up before cracking my neck.
"looks like we got a lead." morgana suddenly spoke up. I smiled, "yeah, but I wonder what the ace ops will do." I said as I stretched. "hmm, probably stick around. if you are to handle angor rot, then we are going to need all the help we can get." morgana hummed.
I the walked out of my room to see the ace ops all waiting. "morning kid," Clover said waving. I walked over before harriet spoke up. "so, you got any plans?" she asked, but she seemed... tense. like something was off. but I shook my head, not now.
"my brother got a lead on how to stop angor. or at the least, combat him. so I'm heading to troll market tonight. as for the day, not so sure." I said as the team nods."we were about to go find something to eat if you would like to join us." vine spoke up and I nod but freeze, "um, what about... this?" I asked, gesturing to my skin but the team smiled. "don't worry, we got a place." clover said before gesturing to the team. the team all grab their stuff and prepare to leave. I nod and follow in suit, walking next to marrow, who happily smiled at me. I nodded my thanks, "Thanks marrow, for taking me to mantle." I said and marrow simply shrugged. "hey, you looked like you could do with some fresh air, though sorry about the grimm. weren't quite expecting that." he nervously chuckled but I simply smiled. "its fine, so, where are we going?" I asked and Marrow opened his scroll. "well, as you probably know, the msc has connections across the world. so we got some places we can go to when out in the field." marrow explained before he began to flick through his scroll.
I nod and continued to walk before speaking to morgana. "so, any ideas on what the Gem i got against that Grimm thing?" I asked and morgana hummed. "my guess, is either sensing emotions or perhaps siphoning energy. but honestly, these gems are wild cards, so who knows?" morgana pondered to herself.
As we walked through town. I looked around, something was... off. something was following us...

Soon we reached an all too familiar cafe but the sign said closed. "hey, wait, this is-" I was cut off when Clover knocked. To my surprise, douxie opened the door. "oh hey, you're a bit early, come on in. Someone is waiting for you." douxie said as he let everyone in.
As we all walked in, I finally shook off my shock and spoke, "douxie?!" I asked and douxie looked at me. "oh, hey mate..." We both looked at each other frozen, till the silence was broken by a new voice. "oh, now this is awkward."
