It was a couple of days since the death of bular. I now sat in troll market most of that time luckily the vampires already sent another clone, so I had no need to worry about mum worrying about where I was. I noticed during this time, Jim had been a little distant, apparently he and mum had a pretty bad fight, but I didn't pry. I had my secrets and he had his own secrets after all.

I now spent a lot of time recovering, After all, my leg wasn't fully healed and I was still speaking to vendel. Drall also hung around me. Often carrying me when I needed to go around. Vendel now stood next to me, poking and prodding at my missing leg. "So, you fought gunmar himself?" he asked, sceptical. But Blinky assured him, "indeed, master y/n is truly a force to be reckoned with. I witnessed it myself." he exclaimed proudly but I simply shook my head. "It was less of a fight and more me stalling, I fear gunmar would make it out before we could close the gate, so I went to buy time," I said but Drall shook his head. "Do not understate yourself, you were a true warrior that day, you even went blow to blow with bular. Not many, even trolls, can claim that" he said with respect.
I nodded but rubbed my stump and flexed my bony fingers. "Yeah, well, it didn't come without a cost," I said, while I had come to terms with what I now was, it still was painful to think of. Everyone nodded, Drall especially, as he flexed his own prosthetic arm. "Indeed, we all have scars from that battle," he said before stopping. That's when we all heard familiar shouting. Blinky sighed before smiling, "I will go meet up with our trollhunter." he said before walking along. Drall also, "And I have some... personal business to attend to." he said looking at me. I knew what he was doing, we found his father's remains after all. I nodded at him, placing a hand on my heart as a sign of respect before he walked off.
I sat in the bar for a few more minutes in silence. Silently watching as everyone did their business when, Soon, to my surprise, I saw Claire running through the troll market.
She then stopped in front of vendel who looked at her in surprise. Startled, he spits out his drink while Aaarrrgghh and Blinky ran through the entrance. Blinky gasped when he saw them. Two smaller trolls passed by with drinks and the two trolls quickly chugged them while Claire looked up at Vendel who was shocked.
Claire gasped, "You're Vendel, aren't you? Claire Nunez. I am so humbled you've accepted me, the first human female in Trollmarket?" She had held out her hand for him to shake as her other hands were pressed against her chest. I shook my head, knowing how vendel probably was going to react.
Vendel however, gasped, "No!" He yelled but she wasn't frightened. "I accepted a human Trollhunter and allowed the pudgy one to stay for moral support," he exclaimed while toby, who had just arrived, looked down at himself. "And y/n here because he..." vendel stopped talking before continuing his trail of words, "But this? A third? It's an infestation!" he exclaimed while walking around.
