in which gracie fields tries to get over the boy who broke her heart and wants her back. the only difference? she's trying to fight agains...
THE GIRL GRABS ONTO HER bed's front frame, groaning sadly. "no! i don't wanna go!"
sabrina turns to give her best friend a look.
nessa shrugs, before she goes back to trying to pull gracie off of the bed with her legs. "yes. you are," she states seriously.
"look, i know you're hurting," nessa states, pausing on her actions as gracie turns onto her back, after letting go of her bed frame, with a sigh. "but, you can't hide in your bed for the rest of your life."
"why not?"
nessa gives her a raised eyebrow and an insistent, pointed stare.
"ness, i love you, but i don't think you get it." gracie mutters, covering her bare face with her hands in frustration.
"you don't get how it feels to lose not just your best friend, but you're boyfriend too."
as soon as the words leave the brunette girl's lips, she immediately regrets it.
she sits up, regret and guilt clear on her face. "oh my god. i'm so sorry!"
nessa's face is full of hurt, along with sabrina's.
sabrina takes a deep breath. "look, i get that you're hurting and you can't help it when you lash out," she says understandably. "but, you know that both of us know exactly how that feels."
gracie sighs guiltily. "you're right. that was completely uncalled for."
"i'm sorry. forgive me?" gracie asks gently, knowing that if they don't, she'll understand.
nessa rolls her eyes, grabbing onto her hands and pulls her up, to stand by the side of her bed. "of course you are. don't worry about it."
gracie nods wordlessly, still feeling bad.
"you can make it up to us, by coming out with us into town."
knowing they're not going to give up and remembering how persistent they can be, gracie nods once more. "let me get ready and i'll meet you in the living room."
the girls stood in front of her nod with eager and excited expressions.
once they leave her bedroom, gracie sits down on her bed with a frown.
without another thought, she pulls her phone to look up a familiar account on instagram that she practically has memorized.
