IT'S QUIET IN THE ROOM, even as gracie anxiously walks over to matt.

he barely looks at her now, causing her to begin to frown, glancing down at her fidgeting—but shaking—hands.

with a breathless sigh, she turns around, glancing at the rest of the group in the room.

madi turns around to walk into the kitchen, leading both chris and nick inside, in order to give them some space.

with another sigh, she turns back to face matt.

he still doesn't look at her.

tears fill her eyes at this. does he hate her this much that he can't even look at her?

gulping the overwhelming urge to breakdown and cry, down, she takes another deep breath.

"matt?" she asks, her voice small and wavering.

matt stops breathing for a second when he hears the hurt clear in her voice.

he grows the courage to lift up his head and look down at her and when he does, boy, does his heart hurt at the pain in her eyes and the way she keeps anxiously fidgeting with her fingers.

"let's just sit down." he mutters, sitting down on the couch and waiting for her to do the same.

taking in another deep breath, she quietly nods.

when she finally does sit down, she tucks a strand of her hair behind her ear, biting down on her bottom lip in anxiety—she doesn't know how to go about this situation and how to fix it.

and although she's trying her best to be mature and calm about this, she doesn't want to—she really should hate matt for everything he's put her through.

but, she thinks and knows that she can't put all the blame on him.

maybe...she did do something wrong that hurt him and made him decide for them to break up.

and thinking about their breakup? that only makes things worse.

she can't help herself, quickly getting stuck in and remembering every second of their breakup.

one minute, everything was perfect, and the next, things slowly crumbled.

they both were enjoying each other's company, watching one of gracie's many favorite marvel movies to watch. and it was peaceful.

and nick may have also been watching the movie with them because he's probably one of the only one out of their group that likes marvel—at least, just a little bit.

they'd all been enjoying themselves, and nick and gracie were quietly talking about something from the movie, both proving just how close they are.

in fact, one of the reasons nick likes and watches the marvel movies and shows so much is because of gracie—since gracie found out that nick watched them from time to time, it was only a matter of time before she was able to get him to like them as much as she does.
