NICK NEVER THOUGHT HE'D SEE the day matt would isolate himself like he is now.

chris, however, saw it coming from a mile away—especially since he's probably the closest to matt than anyone else.

now don't get me wrong, he's pretty close to nick too, but matt and chris know each other pretty well.

when nick and madi first walked in, they thought they'd only find matt hiding under his blankets.

instead, they're pretty shocked to find chris also hiding under the blankets.

madi and nick both share a confused look.

"what the fuck?" nick questions, dropping the blanket to fall on his brothers chests.

chris shrugs, giving them a innocent face, while matt stares at the ceiling with no reaction at all—he doesn't even feel fazed.

"matt? you okay?" madi asks, quickly becoming concerned when he doesn't react at all to nick waving a hand right in front of his face.

matt doesn't say anything, he just stays staring at the ceiling.

nick and madi turn to each other again in both confusion and concern.

"matt?" madi asks again when they turn back to face the two boys in the bed.

nick, losing his patience quickly, he turns to chris as he throws his hand up incredulously. "you wanna tell me what the hell's going on?"

chris slightly glares at nick, motioning to matt, trying to tell him silently to take it easy.

but, nick clearly doesn't care because he's way too worried about matt right now.

before chris can actually answer him, madi answers all of them, except it's more of a question than anything else, "is this about grace?"

for the first time in minutes, matt snaps out of his daze, when he hears that name.

matt looks away from the ceiling with tears shining in his eyes.

it's only there for a second, before he glances away and blinks the tears away.

"it doesn't matter anymore." he mutters as his eyes go back to the ceiling of his bedroom.

chris sighs, carefully moving off of the bed to motion to madi and nick to walk out of the room.

nick rolls his eyes at his brother's stressed-out expression and behavior, not understanding why it's so hard for him to just tell him and madi what's going on.

instead, he's forced to just suck it up and follow chris and madi out of matt's room, just outside the threshold.

nick raises his hands up in question. "so? you going to tell me what this is about? and why he's acting like someone just killed trevor?"
