What does thou gain for existing in lamentation?
To exist in lamentation, alternatively reflection, is to live in thy past.
To live in thy past, is to live in fear of choice.
Do thou, in addition, gain anything from living in thy future?
To get lost in thy future is to never live in thy present.
Thy present becomes an expectation.
Expectation of reaching thy future.
Yet thy future will always remain exactly where you'd expect, in thy future.
Thou may reach a part of thy future you had conceived, rather dreamed, but thou will only think of what comes next.
Carpe diem.
Touch thy past and thy future but never rest in either.
Carpe diem.
Rest in thy present.
Carpe diem.
Only then shall thou know self-actualization.
Carpe diem.
