"LISTEN UP, NERD'S" Mindy said grabbing our attention. "As terrifying as this may be, i'm glad I finally get to redeem my self for not guessing the killers last time." she said pacing.
"The ways I see it, they're making a sequel in a requel."
"What's a requel?" Anika asked her, "you're beautiful honey, let's hold questions to the end." Mindy said blowing a kiss to her girlfriend.
"Stab one took place in Woodsboro, Stab two took place in College." Mindy stated, "Do you think that the killers are trying to copy the movies?" Tara asked.
"That's one possibility." Mindy said as she continued pacing.
"Hero's now in college; check. Suspicious new characters brought in to round out the suspect list and or body count; check, check, and check." Mindy said.
"I don't like this.." Ethan's whispers in my ear as a rubbed his back.
"It can't just be about stab two." Mindy stated.
"why not?" I asked the girl, "It would make sense if this were just a sequel. But, we're not in a sequel because no one 'just makes' sequels any more. we're in a franchise!" she said.
"And they're certain rules to counting a franchise." she says, "I had a feeling." Sam nods.
"Rule one: everything is bigger then last time. Bigger budget, bigger cast, bigger body count, longer chases, shoot-outs, beheadings." She said.
"Beheadings?" Chad looked at his sister.
"Beheadings." Mindy pointed.
"Rule two: whatever happened last time, expect the opposite. Franchises only survive by subverting expectations. If the killers last time were whiney, snowflake, film nerds with letterbox accounts instead of personalities, you can bet the opposite will be the truth here." she said.
"And rule three: No one is safe." she said seriously.
"Legacy characters, cannon fodder at this point. Usually brought back for nostalgia, just to be killed of later on. So it not looking so great for Kirby and Gale." she said.
