Spring felt her mothers' breath warm her fur, and her scent sank deep. She was a fully-black she-pup, with pale-grey eyes. Spring had only been born a few moons ago, but there were other pups in her pack; the Shadow Pack. Only, they were much older than her, and to Spring, very rude. The other pups were also a very rare type of wolf, just like her mother, Mangle. Even though her mother was a very rare wolf type, Spring was not. She was just an ordinary wolf.. At least she thought so.
Bon Bon, one of the other pups, was talking to his friend, Freddy, while Spring watched, just waiting for them to see her. She took a deep breath, closing her light-grey eyes. Her mother, Mangle, was on a hunting patrol, with the Pack alpha, Ennard, and Chica, Circus, and Balloon, three other trained Pack members.
The pure-black she-wolf decided to creep over to them. Spring padded over, feeling out of place, next to the obviously-rarer wolves. Their eyes, sparking, and their fur, bright, seemed like the opposite of her dull fur, and patchy eye color.
"Hi," Spring said, barely more than a loud whisper. Bon Bon and Freddy looked up.
Bon Bon, a grey-blue dog-wolf with blue eyes at first seemed friendly. "Hey.." he yawned. "Freddy, can I sleep? I'm tired."
And his friend, Freddy, a brown dog-wolf with green eyes nodded. Spring felt almost invisible, as Bon Bon curled up, closing his eyes. Am I really that out of place here, next to all of the 'rare wolves'?
She decided to stalk back over to where she had sat in front of the den her Pack slept in, the cold breeze ruffling her messy fur. Spring looked back at the inside of the den, where Marionette, C. C, and Endo lay together, all asleep. They were also the 'rare wolves' type, unlike herself. An urge inside of Spring to fit in suddenly rushed through her, and she blinked, and turned back to the rocks and water in front of her; Where she was supposed to guard. But, when Spring turned back to where she was supposed to keep guard, she caught a glimpse of Freddys' glaring green eyes, as though he hated just her being there; Which he probably did, since Spring was a normal wolf, and to him and Bon Bon, that made ShadowPack 'weak'.
The light-grey eye-colored she-wolf suppressed a sigh. ShadowPack was supposed to be a group of legendary wolves that no other Pack had. But now, with Spring, it seemed to her that she was a mistake. She flexed her claws, scraping them on the earth, making a loud sound that she dreaded, and immediately wished she hadn't.
"Who woke me?" Bon Bons' voice sent a shiver down Springs' spine that chilled her to the bone. She forced herself to stand up, and step towards them.
She lifted her chin for a heartbeat. "Me," she said quietly, her head lowering, as though she had done something wrong to her alpha. But these wolves were not alphas, that's for sure, She thought.
Spring heard Bon Bon growl, and Freddy snarled. "Don't." The grey-blue dog-wolf growled, eyes narrowing to glare at the she-wolf. "Or else." Freddy showed his large fangs, and broad shoulders, which made her gulp.
"Spring!" To her relief, she heard her mother, Mangle, call for her; She watched her mother come bounding over, eyes bright, jaws full with two plump rabbits for the bare-tree season. "Eat up, tonight you'll go on a marking patrol, also,"
When Spring began to gulp down one of the rabbits in quick gulps, she wondered silently how Bon Bon and Freddy managed to act perfectly normal when a 'legendary wolf' was around, but only when she was there, they were like angry cats to her. But Spring knew she could do nothing, at least not now. All she could do was wait.
"Mangle?.." Spring was murmuring, watching as her mother slowly heard her call, and bounded inside the den.
"Yes?" The light-grey and white she-wolf asked her growing wolf.
