You and your best friend had the day off from work so you were down by the beach playing mermaids as you two liked to call it. You two had been swimming around and playing in it, and you occasionally splashed her with your tail when she saw that the bag of candy that you guys had been snacking on earlier was flirting from the rock it had been on.
"Hey get back here!" You said motioning with your hand.
You both watched in shock as the water moved in your direction and brought the bag of candy over as you picked it up. Your friend encouraged you to do it again wanting to see if it was a one-time thing or if you actually manipulate water.
"Does this mean I can manipulate water?" You asked her.
"It does. Has this ever happened to you before?" She asked you.
"No not that aware. Is there a way I could develop this ability?" You asked her.

They made their way down to the beach where they saw you dancing in the water and the water moving along with you, they were in awe watching you. You had finished dancing when you heard clapping making you turn and see your two lovers sitting on the beach clapping making you slightly embarrassed that they had seen that.

"Um, my best friend has been training me after we found out I could manipulate water. I wanted to train a little more before I showed you guys." You said.
