Happy walks up to the edge of a cliff in Web Valley, located in Clover Canyon. As he does, his left foot hits a pebble, and it gets knocked into the chasm below. Happy gazes down the chasm.
"URGH, GEEZ!! Come on, Happy! Don't tell me you got us lost, again?! We've been walking for forever and a half, and we still haven't found Magnolia, yet! Why are we following a cat, anyway?!?!" Lucy screams in frustration.
Happy says questioningly, "What do you mean 'again?' How rude! didn't get us lost last time, so this is the first time I've gotten us lost!"
Lucy says in an exhausted tone, "First time or not, let's just try to make this our last, okay?" Lucy groans.
"Man, I want some food!!" Natsu groans.
Gray says, "We all do! Talking about it just makes us hungrier!"
Natsu yells at the brunette, "I can't help it if I'm hungry, jerk!"
"No, but you can stop running your mouth, can't you?!"
Makarov interrupts the boys argument, "Listen up!! ... We need some food!"
Glaring, Natsu and Gray yell in unison, "Yeah!! We know!!"
I sigh at their bickering from my spot beside Erza, my arms crossed below my chest.
It's been about two days since we'd fled Clover Town, after having stopped the dark guild Eisenwald, and defeated Lullaby.
Grumble... Grumble... Grumble...
I blink my eyes when my stomach lets out a loud growl, but I don't complain like the others are. Instead, I scowl back in annoyance.
Natsu and Gray give me pointed looks. "Looks like we're not the only ones who desperately want food," Natsu mutters smirking slightly.
"Sh-Shut up, Pinky!" I snap at him, my left eye twitching in annoyance.
Grumble... Grumble... Grumble...!
I scowl when my stomach lets out a slightly louder growl.
Natsu and Gray continue to stare at me, and I snap, "Don't even say it!"
Erza says sternly, "Enough!"
Grumble...!
Natsu says pointedly, "Your stomach's trying to tell you something, isn't it, Erza?"
She crosses her arms as she says stubbornly, "No, it's not! You're just hearing things."
"Don't be in denial, Erza," I say, smirking at her.
Gray utters, "Uh, yeah. Real convincing, Erza."
Suddenly, Happy cries out in excitement as he peers over the edge, his dark eyes sparkling.
"What are you so excited about?" Natsu asks as he comes up behind the blue cat.
"Down there!! Look, Natsu, look!" The rest of us peer over the edge to see colourful fish with wings flying through the air below us. "Those are Winged Fish!! They're a legendary delicacy, and they're super yummy from what I hear! Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum...!"
