Lucy's P. O. V:I remain frozen on my butt out of fear as I gape at the huge fish before me. It was about to swallow me whole, but then seems to stop mid attack, as though frozen in place. I blink and there's a second giant fish monster next to it.
I hear grunting and look behind me to see Reina standing there with her right hand outstretched, a purple magic seal fading from the second fish.
I gape at her. She's stopping the monster with powers of a god! So this is her Arc of Reflection...
I snap myself out of it when reins heaves a groan of exertion and throws her arm to the side. The reflection rams itself into the original, sending it crashing back into the pool. I scramble away to my feet and take out my whip.
"Are you okay?" Asks the Walker. I nod throwing her a grateful expression.
"Yeah, thanks to you. That was amazing!"
"Don't let your guard down just yet," The bluenette warns me. I nod once as we wait for the fish to return. It lunges out of the water with a roar but I lash with my whip. My whip wraps around the fish and I hood it in place as my whip becomes taut. "Great job, Lucy. Keep it there. Arc of Reflection: Mind Reflection!"
With a flash from her purple magic seal, Reina summons the giant fish reflection once more. I struggle to hold the monster in place and it wriggles around violently.
I groan with effort as the two fish bash heads together. Reina groans with exertion as she fights against the original fish. Finally, she's able to clamp the reflection's jaws around the original's and sends them dashing against the outside of the pool on the ground.
My whip comes loose and I gasp as I stagger back a bit. I gaze at the now dead fish as the reflection of it fades.
"We did it," I say in immense relief. I turn to Reina with a smile. "We make a pretty good team, huh?"
A smile touches her lips as Reina agrees, "Yeah... I guess we do. Now that that's over, let's keep looking for the amulet. I don't think there'll be anymore monsters down there."
"Yeah. I hope not," I mutter before putting my whip back on my waist. I then help Reina look for the magic item.
Reina's P. O. V:
After a few more hours of searching, Lucy and I didn't find the amulet and weren't attacked by anymore monsters. So I meet back up with the others. Turns out, it was Gray and Erza who found it and we return the amulet to its rightful owner.
We then return to Fairy Tail and hang out for the rest of the day.
When it was nearly 9 0' clock, decide to head home as I grab my blue backpack.
As I exit the guild hall, Gray catches up to me. "Mind if I walk you home?" He asks. I gaze at him in surprise before I shake my head. "Lucy told me what happened in your part of the cave. Your magic is pretty amazing."
"Thanks," I mumble.
"So... do you... want to go out sometime?" Asks Gray hesitantly, rubbing the back of his head.
"What?!" I gasp as I whip my head to him in surprise.
"I really like you, Rei-chan, and I want to go out with you. If you want to, that is." Gray blushes as I gaze back at him, a blush on my own cheeks.
"U-Um... I've liked you too, for sometime," I tell him. "I'd love to go out with you."
Gray smiles as he says, "Great! How about tomorrow night I pick you up and we go to one of the restaurants? Does 7 sound good to you?"
I nod as I say, "Sure." We soon arrive at a two storey house not far from Fairy Tail. I bought it awhile ago in case I found my brother and convinced him to come back with me. I turn to the ice wizard. "This is it."
"I'll see you tomorrow night, okay?" Gray says.
I give him a closed eye smile as I say, "Yup! And at the guild tomorrow, too." He and I chuckle before we say goodnight and I enter my house, locking the door behind me.
Word got out about my date with Gray by the next day and Lucy and Erza made me tell them how it goes afterwards.
I stand in front of my mirror in my bedroom in my date outfit which is a purple and white checkered sleeveless dress and thigh high white socks and enclosed shoes.
I suddenly hear a knock on the door and knew it was Gray. I grab my purse and head to the door to open it. Gray blushes at the sight of me. He was a little dressed up too, with a tie around his neck.
"Wow. You look great," He compliments.
I smile shyly as I say, "So do you. Where are we going for dinner?"
He replies as I exit the house and lock it, "You'll see."
❄️❄️❄️
Dinner was fantastic and I got to know Gray more. We also had desert and went for a walk through the streets as we chat before Gray walks me home around 11.
We stop in front of my two storey house and I turn to the ravenette, smiling. "I had a great time tonight," I tell him.
"Me, too. I'm glad you had a good time, Rei," He says. We gaze at each other for a long time and I feel my face heat up more. "I... guess I should let you go in. It's pretty late. How about another date?"
I nod as I reply, "Sounds good. We'll talk about it tomorrow."
I lean forward and kiss Gray's cheek which makes him blush once again before I walk into my house.
I lock it before I get into my blue pyjamas and get ready for bed with a content expression on my features.
