Regenia felt good about what she had done; from the looks of it, Giuseppe was proud of her too. Luna was out of their lives for good, and now their only worry was Berardo since they had the Persian mafia on their side. Still, what got under her skin was the lengths Berardo went to get to them. It wasn't necessary to get a young girl to fake her kidnapping, but he did, and now Regenia was wondering what he had promised the young girl. Sure, Shah said he would handle his daughter, but a part of Genia wanted to know the truth now. Then the other part of her wanted to get finished with her reception and go on their honeymoon.

"Regenia."

"Yeah," she spoke as Giuseppe stopped and turned to her, confused. Slowly she raised an eyebrow while his hand went to her belly. "Giuseppe, I-I owe you an apology. I'm not pregnant... it-it slipped out. I wanted to make Luna feel pain... heartache before she died. To know she would never have you, and I'm sorry." For a long moment, Giuseppe stared at her without saying a word, then nodded.

"Are you sure you're not? Because Uccellino, you've been having these weird-ass mood swings and carvings?"

"Yeah, I know, but if I were pregnant, wouldn't your uncle know since he ran tests on me a few weeks ago after I was shot—"

"Not necessary, Cara. Sperm lives in your body for five days; with that being says, it leaves the possibility for you to conceive days later." Mario spoke as Regenia and Giuseppe turned and looked at the man in their conversation without being asked. "And I also have a confession. I didn't give her a pregnancy test. Until tonight, I was under the impression your wife was a virgin." He smiled while slipping a pregnancy test to Giuseppe.

"After the reception, make sure your wife takes that test, and if it is positive, it stays between the family until she isn't able to hide it. We don't need Berardo to learn the truth. Especially not that truth; I'm not going to lie to you, nephew. I believe his next move will be kidnapping Regenia. He knows that's the only way he can get to you. He will use her to get you to kill yourself and take her as his bride."

Regenia and Giuseppe looked at one another while Mario sighed. She knew he was serious, but if it ever came to that point, Regenia knew she was do anything to stay on top. Giuseppe wasn't going to fall, and neither was she. In the end, Berardo would find himself dead, but they had to figure out how that could make that happen. The bad thing was they were going back to New York for a month after their honeymoon, and if Ardo knew they were there, he would do everything in his power to kill him, which meant they had to come up with a plan to get him to Italy while they worked their plan.

"Before I let that happen, I will murder everyone in my sight. Berardo isn't going to win this fight. That's a fucking promise." Giuseppe spoke, making his uncle nod and point to the door. "Our people are waiting to see the newlyweds. They have waited long enough.... And Giuse." Mario spoke.

"Yeah."

"It better not. You're a strong man, and with Regenia, you're even stronger. A few months ago, I would have said there was no way an ex-cop could help run our mafioso. With one look at Regenia, I knew she was born for this. She's a warrior, so let her fight. Let her use the skills she learned from being a detective to bring down our enemies. Genia is our missing link. Congratulations, I am proud of you, nephew. You picked your bride well— Regenia, rain hell down on all our enemies." He spoke, kissing her cheeks as he gave Giuseppe and handshake. After, he pointed to the double doors before pushing them through.
