Seeing Regenia's face light up when they entered the event was all Giuseppe needed. She was beautiful in the dress he picked for her, but there was also a reason for his choice. His mother decorated the event in silver and white. Perfect for an engagement party, so she claimed. Still, Regenia and her beauty were the center of it all, especially wearing that dress. He wanted her to see how beautiful she was and everyone else, and it screamed power. It was what Giuseppe wanted the others to see since she would be the center attraction tonight, whether Regenia wanted it or not. They were there to judge her; no matter the outcome, they would respect her as his. The woman he chose to stand by his side for two reasons: she was strong. Although Regenia may not notice it, but she would soon and powerful, which seemed to drip off of her.
"How the hell did your family pull this off in one day?"
"When you know the right people, Uccellino. It's all you need," He smirked, making her smile as he pulled her closer to him. Finally, Regenia was starting to open up, but it made him wonder if it was because she had no choice. Or did she mean it? Either way, he needed her completely by his side. It was the only way his father would let him have what was his and allow him to take down Berardo.
"Well, I like it...."
"Giuseppe sei finalmente tornato a casa! (Giuseppe, you finally came home!)." A deep sigh escaped Giu's lips. It if wasn't one thing, it was another. It was bad enough that Luna was there but her. Why on earth would his parents invite her? She was annoying and a little pest he couldn't get rid of. Giuseppe knew she and her family were a part of their mafioso, but she had always had this thing for him since they were younger. Then he made the biggest mistake by sleeping with her one night after he had been drinking after she thought they were meant to be. The woman was crazy, and his father and hers thought it was funny.
"Victoria, what are you doing here?"
"You're talking like them now? Two years in America, and now you think you are one. None of that matter now; I'm happy you are home, but you are marrying someone else. I thought it would be you and me walking down the aisle and becoming one. Please tell me it's not her. If it is, I swear I'll kill the bitch now." She spoke, making Regenia look between the two, but Victoria had yet to see the beauty on his side. Giuseppe understood his parents not announcing who he was marrying. Mainly to protect Regenia but to assume he was marrying Luna was crazy.
His father wanted to make sure no one could search for her online and make a connection. Although it was going to be hard since she was wanted by the FBI for aiding and abetting, as of right now, it was only in the States. They weres lucky that nothing of their members paid attention to the news, which would change everything. If any of them tried to harm her, he would kill them, still for Victoria to think he was marrying Luna was outrageous.
"Vikki, I know you were a little dense, but I didn't take you to be that fucking stupid."
"What are you talking about...."
