Summary: Emily's cooking in the kitchen by herself but gets distracted by a certain someone, chaos and hilarity ensue

3rd Person POV

Emily was moving around the kitchen, Checking the pasta as it boiled. It was one of the few dishes she knew how to make since she had absolutely no cooking skills whatsoever.

It was one of the rare nights Clyde wasn't cooking dinner. She usually washed and cleaned the dishes, But she had wanted him to take a break so he could relax.

It Took a little (okay, maybe a lot of) convincing since he knew she could possibly burn the kitchen or the entire house down but in the end he caved and give in.

She was amping up the flame when Clyde came into the kitchen, walking towards her and putting his hands around her waist and kissing her.

"Hi" She Whispered
"Hi" He whispered back

They're foreheads touched as they gazed into each other's eyes

He picked her up and her wrapped her legs around his waist.

she yelped "Clyde!"
as she was pulled up.

"What are you doing, Being lovey?" she asked as he started moving around a little in circles

"You know how lovey I get at night"
He answered
He leaned in and kissed her and she kissed back.

"This is nice" Emily said as she sunk into his comfort

"yeah it really is"
"I love when you get all lovey and clingy"
"I am not clingy!" Clyde Defended in a light hearted manner

"Yeah sure" Emily Laughed

They were interrupted by the sound of the smoke detector and the sight of A LOT of smoke surrounding the kitchen

"Holy Shit!" Emily Yelled in panic as she realized that the food was burning

Clyde put her down and ran over to the pasta and turned the stove off, He took the lid off to see charred pasta in the pot.

Emily walked to the stove and stood next to Clyde.

"Well there goes dinner"
"Yep, Let just clean this up and order takeout"

"Can't believe we almost burned the whole kitchen down" Clyde said as he was eating the Chinese takeout they had gotten after the very unfortunate event that had taken place the previous hour.

"Yeah, Because of you"

Yeah well, it was worth it" he said pulling his lover towards him on his lap and kissing her

"Oh, Definitely" She agreed before kissing him again.
