All of these years
I've held myself back
Won't let them in
They can't see my past
No one sees my heart
But that doesn't matter
I've gone on my own
All of these years
And finally
I get a fresh start
Maybe I'll find a friend
Who really cares about me
Someday I'll let it all go
I'll let me show
But right now
I'm still trying to find
All of my broken
Pieces
So right now
I'm still holding back
But how can I bring myself
Together again
If I keep falling apart
Don't know how long it will take
But someday
Someone will see my heart
And take it
But that person will not break it
They will build me up
And I'll build them
So right now
I'm just holding back
