Aliyah                       October 1, 2013

"Listen...Aliyah," Mr. Everett begins, "We can't just let you go. We can't imagine what you've gone through, but you need to work with us if you want justice-"

I ball my hands into fists.

"THOMAS IS DEAD!" I scream. "I PREVENTED HIM FROM ESCAPING. I WATCHED AS HIS BODY BURNED AND TURN TO DAMN ASHES! I SAW EVERYTHING!"

I can see Mr. Labowski open his mouth to argue. I'm ready to leap over the table to punch his stupid mustache, but something stops me.

Mr. Everett and Mr. Labowski are frozen in place. Mr. Labowski's mouth is slightly open and he's pointing at me. Mr. Everett has his head in his hands, glistening sweat not dripping down his forehead anymore.

    BANG!

I look at the exit door and I see...

"EVANGELINE! TOMORROW!" I yell in excitement. I get up from my chair and run–Or more like waddle—towards them.

Evangeline pulls me into a hug as Tomorrow's hands stretch out toward the two men. I notice Tomorrow's eyes are a deep ocean blue instead of a light blue.

"We have to go now, Aliyah," Evangeline starts, "Tomorrow can't hold time for long."

Evangeline grabs mine and Tomorrow's hands as we bolt to the exit of the police station.

When we get outside, everything is frozen in place.

Cars have stopped driving, a bird has its wings spread out but it's not going anywhere, and pedestrians are doing weird poses with their bodies.

We run behind a grocery store, panting and gasping for breath.

Tomorrow's eyes become light blue and suddenly, the world releases overbearing loud noises like a blanket.

We all clap our hands over our ears and huddle close together.

I can slightly hear Tomorrow sob.

    "I-I don't l-like th-this..." she mumbles.

    I shake my head.

Removing my hands from my ears, I glare at both of them.

"Listen!" I begin, "We're free! We're free! As long as we're together, we'll be okay. We will find our friends and...and..."

I look for the right words. I glance at Evangeline for help. To my surprise, her eyes are sparkling with excitement.

"We'll take over the world together!" She yells.

Tomorrow smiles a little. "W-We'll show this world what they've done to us!" She wipes away her tears.

"Wait...no-" I'm interrupted when Tomorrow and Evangeline wrap me in their arms.

"As long as we have each other, we'll burn this planet to the ground." Tomorrow exclaims.

I chuckle. "We'll need November for that."

"We will find her Aliyah," Evangeline whispers, suddenly serious. "We'll find everyone!"

I don't want to comply with their stupid idea, but right here, right now...my friends–No–my sisters are here and safe. We will find the rest of us and...God, I don't know.

    But that's the future.

For now, we can't get caught. We have to stay on the run. We will have to protect ourselves and each other.

    That should be easy.

I've been running and fighting my whole life.

Plus, it should be easier with help.

    ...Right?
