Elena lets out a sob, she doesn't know what's wrong or what's right anymore. She is in the graveyard curled up into herself, sitting in front of her aunt Jenna's grave. Lately, she has been having doubts about the Mikaelson family- Are they that bad? She had seen how Klaus acted around Caroline and how Rebekah just wanted a home. She didn't know Kol or Finn that well, not that she got the chance as Damon, Stefan, and Jeremy killed both Kol and Finn. And Elijah...Oh, Elijah, Elena's cheeks redden a little as she thinks of the man in the suit that she came to know throughout the months. Elijah is...Well he's Elijah, he never really lied to her, he also was the only one to understand her need to protect her family.

Nowadays though, Elena finds it hard to justify her family and friend's actions, Why are they still going after the Mikaelsons? They weren't going after them and to be frank she didn't mind giving blood to Klaus now and then, cause let's face it, who is it hurting?

She sighs and picks at the grass next to her. "Aunt Jenna, I don't know what to do anymore..." She bites her bottom lip and chokes a sob. "God, I wish you were here right now. I miss you.." Elena brings her arm up and wipes her tears with her sleeve.

"Lovely Elena?"

Jumping she looks up to see the suit-wearing original standing there next to her. "Elijah...?" How coincidental, she thinks. How did He know I would be here? "Why are you here?"

"I wanted to check on you." He studies her face and his gaze lingers on her face, more importantly, her eyes, there wet and puffy- a clear sign that she has been crying. "You've been crying, why?"

He came to see me? Elena smiles slightly. She sighs and stands up, she turns to face him. "I hate how observant you are sometimes." Elena thinks of what to say, leaving a moment of silence. "I don't know what to do Elijah."

Elijah stares at her questioningly. "About what Lovely?"

She throws her hands up in the air. "This! Everything!" Elena exclaims. "I can't go home, because if I do Jeremy will be there and so will the Salvatores! I can't see them right now. What they did to your brothers Finn and Kol, I-...It was horrible, I don't understand why they would do that in the first place. And now, I can go home because I know they'll just be there and try to take away my freedom all over again! I just want peace, Elijah!"

Elijah steps forward with wide eyes. He opens his arms and wraps them around her tightly in a way to comfort her. He rubs her back gently as she sobs into his chest.

"...I just want peace..."

"Lovely, look at me." Elijah pulls away slightly and holds her face up to meet his gently as he caressed her cheek. "You have too much of a kind soul, you want everyone to be happy and that's admirable, but you can not change what has already been done." He sighs and checks his watch on his wrist. "It's getting late, as you do not want to go home-why don't you come and stay in my hotel room with me for the night?"

Elena's eyes widen. "I couldn't possibly-that would be too much. I don't want to be a burden."

"Lovely, it's completely fine with me, and you're never a burden. If it makes you feel better I can drop you off at Miss Forbes or Miss Bennett's house in the morning."

Elena bites the inside of her cheek. What's better? going home where Stefan and Damon could show up at any moment or going with Elijah and get a break-even if it's a small one. Making her mind she nods. "Alright, where did you put your car? Or did you vamp speed here?"

Shaking his head Elijah laughs. "I drove here." He puts his arm out for her to take. "Shall we?"

Elena blushes at the gesture and loops her arm around his. "We shall."
