Elena walks into a bar and sits down smiling at the lady at the counter. "you back again huh?" Jane-Anne greets with a smirk playing on her lips.

Nodding Elena laughs. "yeah, I'm obsessed with the gumbo"

"You know, ladies in the 9th ward say, my sister, Sophie, bleeds a piece of her soul into every dish." Jane-Anne glances across the room at her sister, who is working on the other side of the restaurant.

"I've asked around about my family."

"And?"

Elena sighs. "Zero-My birth mother said that my family resided here before she died...Yet it seems as if I'm chasing ghosts.." Elena never wanted to find her biological family as she was content with the family she had already. However once Jeremy died because everyone wouldn't listen to Kol and went after the cure, Elena decided that she should find her family as of right now that's the only thing that will keep her sane.

"That's because people like you were ran out from here a long time ago."

Elena's brows farrow. "People like me? What do you mean?"

Jane-Anne smiles and points to Elena's shoulder where her birthmark rests. "That birthmark, it's from a special family." She pulls out a map and a red pen, beginning to draw on it. "In the bayou, they call the people with that mark 'Roux-Ga-Roux'". She circles a point on the map. "You head out there, you'll find what you're looking for. Be careful. It's the last place you'd ever want to go."

Elena normally would listen to warnings but considering as she's desperate she's going to ignore it for now. Elena, taking the map, nods at her, smiles, and leaves the bar. Jane-Anne and Sophie exchange glances and Jane-Anne reveals that she has several strands of Elena's hair in her hand.

Elena is driving down a country road, while Jane-Anne and Sophie enter a cemetery, in which all the tombs are above-ground mausoleums. They begin to have a very interesting conversation.

"Don't do it. please. What if I'm wrong about them?", Sophie begs her sister to see reason, but she only shakes her head.

"That's the beauty of you, you're never wrong. They are the only way we're gonna get to Klaus, who will be followed by Elijah." Jane-Anne fights back.

Sophie gives in and sighs. "Can we get someone else to do the spell?" she asks lightly.

Jane-Anne shakes her head. "Who? half the witches don't believe you, the other half are too scared" Jane-Anne reminds her. Sophie looks at the ground and takes a deep breath.

"Because they know we're going to get caught, Jane-Anne!" she yells a bit.

"We don't have any other options, Sophie!" Jane-Anne snaps back, they join hands. Sophie has tears in her eyes as Jane-Anne spoke her next words. "Now go. You know what you need to do." She hugs Sophie warmly. Sophie nods at her.

Later that very day. Jane-Anne is still at the cemetery at night. She has lit several candles and appears to be preparing a spell, arranging salt in a specific arrangement on a wooden surface.

Meanwhile, Elena parks the car somewhere in the bayou. She pulls out the map and stares at it for a few moments before looking back out the window of her car. Elena glances around looking for any signs to at least tell her what part of the bayou she's at. From the corner of her eyes, she sees smoke coming from the front of her car. Her eyes widen.

"What the hell?"

Elena climbs out of the car and runs to the hood, she opens it and the steam becomes thicker. She covers her mouth and nose coughing. "Fuck sake."  She turns her head as she smells the smoke of a fire. She turns around to see another girl standing outside of her car. Elena's eyes widen in recognition. That's the werewolf Caroline kept bitching about.

She shakes her head and pulls out her phone to ring a tow service. As Elena tries to turn on her phone it wouldn't-It was dead. She groans and looks at the older brunette further up the road looking in the hood of her car as well. Elena makes up her mind and jogs over.

"Excuse me?"

The woman turns and her jaw clenches. "Katherine."

Elena shakes her head. "No, I'm not Katherine." She puts out her hand. "I'm Elena Gilbert, her doppelganger. Tyler's friend?"

"Oh..." She stares at her strangely. "I'm Hayley." Hayley can't help but wonder why the girl who everyone wants to save and loves is in New Orleans. Did she get bored and decided that she wanted new toys?

"I hope I won't be in any trouble, but my car broke down and my phone is dead. I was wondering if your phone was charged so I can get a tow-services?"

Hayley rolls her eyes. "You're in luck, I just so happen to need one as well." Hayley dials a number on her cell phone. "Hey, I'm looking for a tow service?"

Hayley's phone produces an ear-piercing noise. She pulls it away from her ear, grimacing in discomfort, and throws her phone and covers her ears as she sees Elena doing the same.

Shadowy figures begin approaching the two girls, emerging from the trees. Elena and Hayley pass out and fall to the ground. Sophie half catches Elena as another witch catches Hayley, as the others draw nearer.

Back in Mystic Falls at Rebekah's house, Elijah updates Rebekah on Klaus' whereabouts. "New Orleans? What the hell is Klaus doing there?" She pulls a face.

"Evidently there are witches conspiring against him. So, knowing our brother, this was a mission to silence and slaughter" Elijah sighed at his younger brother's antics.

"Well, the French quarter witches are not a lot to be trifled with. You don't suppose they've found a way to kill him once and for all, do you?" She looks into his eyes and then smiles as she takes a sip of her drink.

"Rebekah, in the name of our family, you might try to dial down your glee." Elijah stares at her with a stern face, Rebekah's smile fades at the word 'family' and snaps at Elijah.

"What family!? We're three distrustful acquaintances who happen to share a bloodline. I, for one, hope they've found a way to make that traitorous bastard rot."

"Where are you going?" Rebekah glared at his bags.

"To find out who's making a move against our brother. And then I'll either stop them..." He stops and looks at Rebekah with an amused look. "Or I'll help them, depending on my mood"

"Or I'll help them, depending on my mood"
