After all the classes had ended for the day I met up with Luna during dinner. As we were enjoying our meal she suddenly spilled all the beans about Pansy and, not to my surprise, the rumors were actually true Luna was telling me that she had to do most of the work during  potions and I felt genuinely sorry for her.

Naturally I reciprocated by confiding in her about Malfoy. I didn't delve into the whole abandoned classroom situation but I did make sure she knew just how much of a ass he had been acting. We spent the rest of lunch just venting and letting off steam.

Eating and talking about our problems was our favorite pastime and it honestly helped us to destress and feel better.

"What an ass," Luna said, and I found myself nodding in agreement with her. No doubt about it, that particular student had made quite the nuisance of himself in class. But then Luna changed the topic abruptly, her eyes alight with excitement.

"Anyways there's a party happening later," she said pausing for dramatic effect. "Guess which house?" I had no idea, so I just shrugged and waited for her to tell me.

"Slytherin" she squealed, and I couldn't help but feel my jaw drop in surprise. Ravenclaws were never really invited to Slytherin parties - it was practically unheard of.

"Wait, who invited you?" I asked, shocked.

"Blaise Zabini," Luna said dreamily, and I couldn't help but laugh. I knew this was big for her - she had liked him since our first year. "You have to come with me!" Luna said holding my hands and practically begging me. I hesitated for a moment - I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to go party with Slytherins-

"I don't know, Luna quidditch tryouts are tomorrow" I said uncertainly. But she continued to beg and plead until I finally gave in. "Fine, okay," I laughed giving her a hug. "What time?"

"In like 2 hours," Luna said, holding up two fingers, and my eyes widened. "We have to go right now then!" I exclaimed finding the nearest trashcan and dumping out my finished food before sprinting towards our dorms. Luna followed closely behind me.

I immediately took a shower carefully detangling my curls by brushing it through with a green apple scented conditioner. I shaved my legs and arms, reveling in the feeling of smooth skin. As I got out of the shower, my cheeks were rosy from the heat, and I styled my hair to where it sat perfectly.

As I wrapped myself in a towel, Luna appeared with a dazzling smile, holding out a short green dress. "So when I found out, I bought us dresses," she said her eyes sparkling. The dress looked stunning, but my hesitation was quickly apparent. I had never worn something so short before something that exposed so much of my skin to the world. Luna noticed my hesitation and before I could even figure out what to say, she interjected.

"You cannot say no," she declared, pushing the dress into my hands and urging me towards the bathroom.

Caught up in the moment, I didn't refuse. The dress hugged my curves perfectly and despite my initial reluctance, I knew I looked good. I added a touch of makeup, nothing too bold, and focused on enhancing my features, which made me feel undeniably beautiful for the first time in so long.

I stepped out of the bathroom feeling nervous yet excited for the party. As I walked into the living room Luna's eyes widened and her jaw dropped at the sight of me. She placed her hands over her mouth, barely containing her excitement.
