Stanford's POV
//Flashback//
I nervously step down the staircase down to see my brother. Whatever made Fidd quit must have been traumatizing, he loves his job. "Ford? Stanford? Is that you?" I heard my brother call. He sounded kind of... Nervous. "Yes..." I call back.
"Well, come down here! It's remarkable!"
I ease my nervousness. I lose the tension and walk down the stairs like a normal person. When I get to my brother's lab, I can see a strange yellow glow next to my brother shadow. "Lee?" I called out.
"Ford!" I see Stanley, and floating by his side is a weird yellow triangle with a single eye and a bowtie. I was definitely creeped out. "Um, Lee, what's that?" My twin smiled, his eyes glowing with discovery. "His name is Bill Cipher, and he is going to help all of mankind!"
"Um..." I started to back away. That triangle was giving me the creeps. "Where did Fiddleford go?" I asked Stanley. Instead, the triangle answered. "He quit working with your companion due to trauma and fear," he said to Stanford. "Woah..." I said in hushed wonder. I forgot to ask why he left, I was too astounded by "Bill"'s answer. "Is he all-knowing?" I asked Stanley, who nodded. "He can answer any question you desire."
My mouth gaped open in wonder. "When is the end of the world?"
"Which planet are you referring to?"
"Uh, Planet Earth, I guess,"
"The year of Planet Earth's end is 3012,"
"Wow, Lee, this is crazy," I told him. "How did he get here?"
"I summoned him."
"So, he's like, a demon?"
"Kind of. But he's used for our purposes, not his own. He has no desires."
"That's amazing."
"I know. I'm going to ask him to help on the project now that Fiddleford has quit!"
"Hey, why did Fiddleford leave?"
Stanley shrugged. "He just said this was too much for him. Maybe the pressure is getting to him."
"I guess."[Time Skip. Half a year later]
"Ford! Help!" The dream demon was attacking Stanley. My brother. My twin. The machine was now too powerful.
"Shut the machine down! Hurry!" I went toward the shutdown switch, swimming through the air. Gravity was pulling me up, but I was determined to get to the button. I latched onto the pole the button was attached to, and slammed the button. Hard. The gravity kicked back in, and we all fell to the ground, except Bill. He headed toward me. I dodged to the left. "Stanley! Say the words!"
"Hepne sepnos-" Bill struck Stanley with a laser, which hit him but had no effect, as we were in reality and he had no power. "Inanimus hetwes, entangulus overatum, keyoren kastuf keyoren kastuf!"
Bill screamed. "No! No! Nooo! I'll be back! This isn't the last you've seen of me! I'll be baaaack..." He disappeared. Stanley looked to me. "He's right, we will see him again. This is only a temporary banishment. But he'll only be let into this world if some idiot summons him."
"Your journals..."
"We have to hide them. He is still watching us. He could persuade someone to summon him, so we must hide the information. You go back upstairs. I have to do something," I went up the stairs, but peeked down. I saw Lee get one of his inks out, and turn to the blueprint pages of the journals. He wrote something on them. He picked up the journal with a three on the cover and flipped to a page. He switched to the red ink and scribbled something out, then wrote something by it. He flipped to a new page, and started writing in his black ink. He switched ink, write something, and closed the journal. He started to come up the stairs and I put my head back through the door. When Stanley came back up, he turned to me. "You hide the first one. I hide the other two." I nodded, and took the first journal. "Let's do this."And... Done with flashback chapters for now! Next chapter I will advance more in the story! Maybe later I'll have another flashback chapter or two. Till next time!
