{Author's Note: Your honor... The king is indeed... well you can make your own assumptions, darlings. Yes, short chapter again, I know, I know. There's a method to my madness I assure you, darlings. I have gotten into watching some of the QSMP live streams and I have named one my characters after one of my favorite eggs. Well, have fun reading.

Eclius sat at his large intricately carved wooden desk in the center of the royal study. There was a small mountain of messily stacked papers on the left side of the desk. There was another stack of paper that was flipped to be facing downwards on his right. He sighed and stretched in his chair.

"There's so many women here... too many for my liking..."

Eclius kept reading each letter and application for his hand in marriage. Not a single one stood out as someone who wanted to help take responsibility in raising his children. Every woman seemed to want his love or wanted some power. He was quickly getting a headache from all the reading. He was about ready to retire for the day when one letter he began reading stood out to him.

"Old Earl Christopher Juanaflippa Garcia... Ah, yes, I recognize that name anywhere. Let us see... Why are you here among all these different applicants..." Eclius read through the letter and made an intrigued face. "So, you do have a daughter after all, my eyes weren't deceiving me that day. Only wish to offer her services to ensure my sons have a consistent mother figure. That's... convenient..."

Eclius glanced at the pile of letters he has yet to read and focused his eyes back on the paper he was holding. He stood up and carried the pile of unread letters to the fireplace slowly dumping them into the flames. He has found the right applicant. He walked back over to the desk and began writing a response letter accepting the marriage proposal under the conditions outlined. He didn't need a woman's love, no, he needed a mother for his two newborn sons.
