{Author's Note: I seem to love writing short chapters barely 400 words long don't I... I hope you, darlings, enjoy reading this story through the up and downs.

After her recovery, Linterna was informed of her father's passing as well as her inheritance of his library. Linterna The following year she made that library open to the public. Of course taking more private books containing her memories in the third floor of the library. This third floor is her new home for when she was no longer required to stay consistently in the castle. She hired an assistant librarian to help her run the library when she was too busy with the twins.
This is where the deal Linterna made with Grandfather Beasleye came into play after so many years. The earl asked Linterna to allow his grandson Fernando to help run the library. Linterna, of course, agreed standing true to her word even years later. This accompanied by the fact young Fernando's father and Linterna had become good friends on the rare occasion the old earl brought along his son to the business visits when she was a girl. She would train the young Fernando Beasleye to know where and how the books in the library are organized. The boy learned quickly and mastered what Linterna had taught him. She was proud of the way the boy adapted. He was something special alright.
She quickly grew to have an attachment to the young boy. Similar to the bond between herself and her godson, Solun. Despite Fernando's age she had no issues trusting him to help run the library. The early years of the library being open to the public not many people had interest in visiting as the war was in full affect. Most of the young and older able bodied men have been drafted to fight for the kingdom, including Fernando's father. Linterna would be lying to herself if she said that she wasn't upset to see her friend go to war. The last thing she wanted was to lose another person she cared about in a tragic event. However, the good of the kingdom depended on whether they were successful in defending against the Yukon Kingdom. They didn't need to win the war completely, Linterna understood this. However, they did need a few victories to keep the nationalism alive and the kingdom from breaking itself apart into civil war. Her concerns were if Eclius would survive in the hostile battlefield. The princes were merely two years of age and not fit to rule. She had no idea who would rule in the king's absence if it came to it that he died in battle. He is a competent man with great skill she is sure but it is good to keep the worst in mind and prepare for such cases. She had multiple notes in her notebook regarding such topic.
