In the end, Lucas and Maya fell in love, Lucas wheeled Maya around everywhere, and drove her to physical therapy every day.

Maya never fully regained feeling in her legs. However, her feet restored, and Lucas would give her home pedicures to make her smile.

In the end, we kept the painting at my family's house. It was all a reminder throughout high school and college to visit.

Lucas and Maya never fought again. They both had a strong fear of losing each other, causing both of their tempers to be extinguished.

Lucas proposed to Maya on the 5th anniversary of the accident, when she was 21. They were married a year and a half later in New York with a small reception in a little white church.

Farkle proposed to me on the anniversary of that dance, just a day before Lucas proposed to Maya. Since then, we married a week after Lucas and Maya, and moved a neighborhood behind Lucas and Maya.

Maya became an artist, just as we all expected, and Lucas became the veterinarian that he had wanted to be. Farkle was a big business executive and I worked at a small daycare center, learning to become a teacher.

Maya and Lucas weren't able to have children, so they adopted 2 beautiful African twins, Kora and Chino.

Farkle and I had 1 girl named Lisa who always played with Kora and Chino. They were the best of friends.

Now? Now we're all in our early 30s, living life the only way we know how;

With each other.
