Harry
I wake up with the memory of our first kiss and our first intimate encounter playing vividly in my mind. It wasn't just a dream; it was a cherished memory, a reminder of the love and connection Louis and I shared. In those moments, we weren't just best friends; we were soulmates, bound by a deep, unspoken bond.
But now, with Louis gone, those memories feel bittersweet, tinged with longing and regret. I yearn for the days when we could steal moments together, when our love was innocent and untainted by the harsh realities of the world.
As I lie in bed, lost in thought, I can't help but wonder if I'll ever experience that kind of intimacy again. I loved Louis with all my heart, and the thought of being with anyone else feels like a betrayal of that love. Yet, I can't deny the ache of loneliness that gnaws at me, the desire for companionship and connection.
And then there's Lottie, sweet and caring, offering herself to me in a way that I can't ignore. Part of me is tempted by the idea of being with her, of filling the void left by Louis with someone who cares for me. But deep down, I know it would be a lie, a charade to appease my family and society's expectations.
I couldn't bear to deceive Lottie, to lead her on with false promises and hollow gestures. She deserves someone who loves her fully and authentically, not someone who sees her as a mere substitute for the one he truly desires.
No, I can't live a lie, not for my family's sake or anyone else's. My heart belongs to Louis, and until he returns to me, I'll hold onto our memories and the hope of being reunited with the one I love. No matter how long it takes, I'll wait for him, keeping the flame of our love alive in my heart. And if he never returns, I'll cherish our memories forever, grateful for the love we shared, even if it was only for a fleeting moment in time.
But for now, I'll take each day as it comes, finding solace in the memories we created together and holding onto the hope that one day, I'll feel his warmth beside me again.
As I stood there, the air in the room suddenly thickened with tension. Lottie's expression shifted from surprise to understanding, and I could see the gears turning in her mind as she processed my revelation.
"I didn't know," she finally said softly, her voice carrying a hint of sympathy. "I'm sorry for kissing you. I shouldn't have assumed."
I nodded, feeling a mix of relief and apprehension. It wasn't easy admitting my truth to someone, especially considering my family's expectations and the uncertainty surrounding Louis. But in that moment, it felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.
"I appreciate your understanding," I replied, offering a small smile. "It's just... complicated."
Lottie nodded in response; her gaze thoughtful. "Well, your secret's safe with me," she assured me. "But if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here."
I nodded gratefully, feeling a sense of camaraderie in her words. Despite the unexpected turn of events, I was grateful for her support and understanding.
"Thanks, Lottie," I said sincerely. "I really appreciate it."
With that, we lapsed into a comfortable silence, both lost in our own thoughts. As I left her room, a glimmer of hope flickered within me, whispering of possibilities yet to unfold.
However, Lottie's voice broke the silence, pulling me back to the present. "Okay, but who's your boyfriend then?" she asked, her curiosity palpable.
"It's, uhm, Louis," I replied, my words stumbling out.
Her eyes widened in surprise. "My brother Louis?" she clarified, seeking confirmation.
"Yeah," I confirmed, feeling a mix of apprehension and relief at finally revealing the truth.
