Louis
~The Day He Got Missing~
As I slowly awaken from my slumber, a sense of unease washes over me, casting a shadow of apprehension over my surroundings. Blinking away the remnants of sleep, I scan the room with bleary eyes, only to notice an unfamiliar presence lurking in the corners.
With a sudden jolt of realization, I flick on the light switch, illuminating the room in a soft glow. There, in the dimly lit corners, I discern the figures of Lottie and a mysterious stranger I've never encountered before. Their presence sends a shiver down my spine, their silhouettes casting ominous shadows against the walls.
Questions swirl in my mind like a tempestuous storm, each one more pressing than the last. Who is this stranger? What are they doing in my room? And most importantly, why do they seem to be lurking in the shadows like predators waiting to pounce?
As I struggle to make sense of the situation, a knot forms in the pit of my stomach, a gnawing sense of dread creeping into my thoughts. Something tells me that this encounter is far from ordinary, and that whatever unfolds next may alter the course of my life in ways I cannot yet fathom.
"Lottie? Who is this guy? And what are you both doing here?" I inquire, my voice tinged with a mix of confusion and concern.
"Oh, he's my boyfriend, Jake. And why are we here? We're here because you have something of mine! And Jake is helping me get it back," Lottie responds, her tone surprisingly assertive despite the peculiar circumstances.
I furrow my brow, trying to wrap my head around Lottie's cryptic words. Something of hers? What could she possibly be referring to? And why would she need Jake's help to retrieve it?
Before I can voice my questions, Jake steps forward, his gaze intense as he addresses me. "Listen, mate, we're not here to cause trouble. We just need to sort this out, and then we'll be out of your hair," he says, his voice firm but not unkind.
Despite his reassurance, a sense of unease settles in the pit of my stomach. There's something about the way Jake and Lottie are acting that doesn't sit right with me, like pieces of a puzzle that refuse to fit together.
But as I gaze at them, I realize that unravelling this mystery may be the only way to uncover the truth behind their unexpected visit—and perhaps, to safeguard myself from whatever intentions they harbour.
"What do I have of yours then?" I demand, trying to maintain my composure despite the rising panic in my chest.
"Oh, just, you know, Harry Styles as your boyfriend!" Lottie retorts with a smirk, her tone dripping with smugness.
"What?! He's not yours, you know?" I protest, feeling a surge of indignation coursing through me.
"Uhm, I think he will be if you're gone," she replies nonchalantly, her words sending a chill down my spine.
"What do you mean, gone?" I inquire, my voice trembling slightly as a sinking feeling settles in the pit of my stomach.
"Oh, just in Jake's basement," Lottie replies casually, as if she's discussing the weather rather than my potential abduction.
"What?! Lottie, what are you trying to do?" I demand, my voice laced with a mixture of shock and anger.
Lottie shrugs casually, a sly smirk playing on her lips. "Harry will be heartbroken if you go missing, so I'll keep staying with him until he falls for me. And you can do nothing at all," she explains, her tone dripping with malice.
My heart races with disbelief and fury as I process Lottie's sinister plan. How could she stoop so low? The realization hits me like a freight train, sending a surge of adrenaline coursing through my veins.
"You can't be serious," I say, my voice trembling with anger. "You're willing to kidnap me just to manipulate Harry into being with you?"
Lottie's smirk widens, and she tosses her hair back casually, as if she's discussing the weather rather than orchestrating a diabolical scheme. "Desperate times call for desperate measures, Louis. And if this is what it takes to get what I want, then so be it," she replies nonchalantly.
I glance over at Jake, who stands in the corner with a menacing aura, his arms crossed over his chest. His expression is unreadable, but his presence alone sends shivers down my spine.
"You're sick," I hiss, my fists clenched at my sides. "Harry will never forgive you for this."
Lottie chuckles darkly, the sound echoing ominously in the room. "Oh, he'll forgive me, Louis. Once he realizes that you're gone for good, he'll have no choice but to turn to me for comfort."
I feel a surge of panic rising within me, but I refuse to let Lottie see my fear. "You won't get away with this," I vow, my voice trembling with determination. "Harry will find me, and when he does, you'll regret ever crossing him."
Lottie's smirk falters slightly, but she quickly recovers, her eyes glinting with malicious intent. "We'll see about that," she says cryptically, before nodding at Jake.
Before I can react, Jake lunges forward, grabbing me roughly by the arms and dragging me towards the door. I struggle against his grip, but his strength is overwhelming.
As we disappear into the darkness of the hallway, I can only hope that Harry will realize the truth before it's too late.
