The forest was utterly silent, only the sound of leaves rustling could be heard. Everyone looked at the severely burnt monster corpse with undisguised shock in their eyes.

Kirishima, who was behind them and was too late to participate in the attack, was in a daze, "What the hell is that??!!"

His shout brought everyone to their senses. Uraraka was petrified on spot, "That's so strong!!"

Todoroki sharply turned towards Bakugou and saw Nijirou on his back. Narrowing his eyes he said, "Nijirou amplified the attack."

Deku turned towards him, "That's possible?"

Todoroki shook his head, "I'm not completely sure how he did it."

Nijirou had sensed the turbulence in his surroundings and deduced that the attack was successful. He felt relieved but at the same time troubled, 'This is very draining...', he thought. Feeling the cold sweat on his back, he said with his eyes still closed,

"Aim at the other monsters in succession; each blast should defeat one monster!"

Bakugou who was originally in a daze after the huge attack shook his head to clear his thoughts and aimed at another monster, 'That's the biggest blast I've ever made!', the adrenaline in his body surged and his eyes burned with excitement.

Seeing 5 more monsters left, he smiled evilly, "YOU'RE DEAD!!"

Immediately after his words came to an end, successive blasts sounded in the forest. Each blast hit one monster with extreme accuracy, turning them into shreds in a second and sending ashes everywhere.

Bakugou had fired three blasts in a row but didn't feel any exhaustion, 'This is amazing!!', he really liked the feeling of possessing infinite stamina.

By the time Deku remembered he had to defeat the monsters for their team, all the monsters had been defeated by Bakugou.

'They defeated at least 8 monsters in less than five minutes?!!', he was rooted in place staring at the scene with his mouth open.

Seeing all the scattered monsters in front of him, Bakugou was thrilled, "AHAHAHA!"

He was still laughing when he felt the warmth on his head and hand disappear. He smiled and turned towards the boy on his back,

"You're so usefu-", his voice stopped abruptly and his brows scrunched.

He quickly moved to a nearby tree with shade while holding Nijirou's body with his hand. After checking the spot briskly he gently helped Nijirou down from his back and made him lean against the tree very slowly.

Still holding the back of his head to support him, Bakugou bent down and asked in a low voice, "Are you okay?"

Nijirou only felt the world spinning before coming back to his senses and feeling the cold sweat drenching his body,

"Did we defeat-", he took a breath, "-the monsters?"

Bakugou sighed, "Yeah", he suddenly smiled, "Your idea was genius", he said without realising how soft his expression was.

Nijirou showed a weak smile, he was really exhausted after overusing his quirk for the first time, "That's good..."

Bakugou thought he was going faint and frowned again but Nijirou just leaned against his palm and slowly closed his eyes, "Then I'll rest for a while...", his voice was light like a whisper.

Bakugou stared at him and said nothing; feeling the soft hair on his palms he suddenly felt the urge to hug Nijirou into his arms to make him more comfortable.
