Nothing. Absolute nothingness.

Pearl's vision betrays her as her universe dies around her. She sees nothing, but feels a pair of arms wrap around her. She feels herself being sucked into something, a vortex... or perhaps a portal. Lights flash all around her, swirling around in complex patterns of red and orange, until it all dies down.

Pearl's vision returns to her as the hairs on her body all stand up at once. She reacts purely out of instinct. She punches the person whom holds her in their arms, flips backward and uses her webs to subdue her kidnapper.

" Who are you?" She asks as she remains alert, " Where am I? Habla ahora?"

" Hey, hey, tranquilo, tranquilo," The strange man behind the mask utters, then easily breaks free from her webs, " I'm not here to hurt you."

" Tell that to my back, bobo," Pearl remarks as her eyes narrow, " I need to make an appointment with my chiro again. Now tell me... who are you and where am I?"

The man sighs.

" You're not gonna believe me if I tell you," He utters.

" Try me," Pearl quips.

" Alright, fine," He says, then takes a step forward, " My nombre es Miguel O'Hara... y yo soy Spider-Man."

" Spider-Man?" She asks, " Pero..."

In that moment, Pearl's eyes slowly widen in realization. The eye sin her mask become giant white orbs as her entire reality shifts... and she realizes that they were right all along. She and Rosa had it right from the start.

" The multi-verse..." She whispers, " It's... real?"

As the words leave Pearl's lips, Miguel O'Hara, the man claiming to be Spider-Man, nods solemnly.

"The multiverse is real," Miguel confirms,, "And you, Pearl, you've just crossed into a different dimension. I couldn't let you be consumed by the collapse of your universe. I had to bring you to safety."

Pearl's mind races, trying to process the enormity of what she's experiencing. Everything she thought she knew, everything she believed to be her reality, has been shattered. Her heart races, a mix of fear, confusion, and a strange sense of excitement coursing through her veins.

"Wait, so... I'm in a different dimension?" Pearl asks, her voice trembling with a mixture of awe and uncertainty, "But what about my universe? Is it gone?"

Miguel's expression softens as he gazes at Pearl, a flicker of empathy in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Pearl. Your universe... it couldn't be saved."

Pearl's shoulders slump as she absorbs the weight of Miguel's words. Her heart aches for the world she has lost, the friends and family left behind. Rosa is... is gone.

"I... I have to find a way to make things right," Pearl says, her voice filled with determination, "I can't just let everything I knew fade away. There has to be a way to restore balance."

" It can't be done," Miguel lowly utters, " Your universe... it's gone."

" No, no. It can't be gone. It can't be!" She exclaims as she jumps down to his level, her head barely being level with his chest, " There has to be something we can do-- My machine! If we can just go back and--"

" Pearl..."

" I just need to get back on that rooftop-- Or or maybe get a copy of our schematics!"
