The clock on your wall strikes 11pm as you enter the bedroom. The sound of doors slamming echoed through the quiet dorm as your members each entered their own rooms. You had just returned to your home after a long day of practicing choreographies and learning lines. Every single one of your limbs were aching from all of the working out you had done. Crashing down onto your bed, you scrolled through the notifications on your phone, making sure you hadn't missed any important messages. A smile appeared on your face when you saw a text from your boyfriend Kai.
"10:22 PM
FROM ♡Hyuka♡: I know you're busy at practice right now so you won't see this till later, but I'm going to sleep early tonight so goodnight!! Get lots of rest when you come back to the dorms and I will see you in the morning (>3<)~♡"
Despite all the pressure you had been under lately, Kai really helped with taking some of the stress away just by doing small things such as short texts with some words of affirmation, or a simple "goodnight!" before one of you went to bed. You were slightly disappointed he was already asleep when you got home, but resting after work is very important and he needs it just as much as you do, so you would never deprive him of that. You hearted the message and sighed, switching off your phone for a moment so you could get ready for bed.
After a minute of laying down, you managed to drag yourself out of bed to take a quick shower and changed into clean, comfortable clothes. You turn off all the lights before climbing into bed and warming yourself up under your soft blankets. Although your body was tired, your mind was wake awake. You lay there, silent and still, trying your best to fall asleep; however you just couldn't. You quickly got bored of trying and decided to browse Weverse until you got tired, answering questions from fans and replying to their messages.

You started to smile thinking about seeing Kai again. It had only been a day since you had seen each other in person, but you still missed him as if you'd been apart for weeks. You turned off your phone and went back to trying to fall asleep. Once you doze off, the next day will come faster and you'll get to see Kai!
The sound of muffled voices suddenly caught your attention. At first you ignored it, assuming it was just some of your members, until you heard the front door close. You sat up and tilted your head in confusion, trying to figure out who was leaving or entering your dorm at this time. Unfortunately, the hushed voices had stopped by the time you actually wanted to listen. You lay back down in your bed and sighed. Of course you were still confused, but it really didn't matter, so you decided to forget about it. It was probably nothing anyway.
Somebody knocked at your bedroom door quietly, making you once again sit up and turn your head towards the noise. You patiently wait to see who's lurking outside of your room when all of a sudden you notice a tall boy peeking through the crack in the slightly ajar door. "Are you awake?" He whispers. A huge grin appears on your face when you hear the familiar voice and realise it's Kai. The voices outside must've been him and one of your members after she let him in. You wave at him enthusiastically and beckon at him to come closer.
The sleepy boy shuffles towards your bed, stumbling a little as he makes his way over. You giggle at his drowsiness and ask him why he's here. "What are you doing here? You said you were going to sleep hours ago, look how tired you are!" He doesn't really reply; he just murmurs something so quietly you can't even make out what he's trying to say. He slowly crawls into bed with you and rests his head on your stomach before pulling the blanket back over you both. You ran your fingers through his hair while he traced squiggly patterns and messy shapes on your belly next to where his head was laying. One particular shape he drew caught your attention, a heart. He continued to draw it a few times more and you felt his lips curling into a smile. He's so adorable. Small, simple memories like this were the ones you treasured the most. It felt amazing to lay down with your lover after a long day and not think about anything other than him.
The two of you relax and let yourselves enjoy the comfort and warmth of each other's bodies. "Kai?" You mumble. He hums in response, letting you know you should go on with your question. "Are you gonna answer my question? Why are you here right now?" He kisses your stomach softly and replies.
"I woke up and missed you too much to get back to sleep... When I checked the time on my phone I saw you were on Weverse and you said you missed me, so I came to see you."
"You're so cute. I love you"
"I love you too, Y/N. I love you to the moon and back!"
Kai squeezes you tightly and places more delicate kisses next to your bellybutton, trailing up higher with every tiny peck until he reaches your forehead. You smile at each other lovingly as your faces sit inches apart, noses barely touching. You pucker your lips dramatically and wait for him to kiss you. He chuckles at your cute face and grants your wish, connecting your lips as he pulls you into an intoxicating kiss.
Every time the two of you kissed it made you feel like you were floating. His soft lips on yours was the best feeling in the world. If you had the choice, you'd be in each other's arms sharing moments like this every second of every day.
Not wanting to squash you under his body weight any longer, Kai drags himself up, flips the position and lays on his back. He pulls you over with him and rests your head on his chest.
"Kai, did you know, the heart pumps enough gallons of blood a day to fuel a rocket ship so it could fly all the way to the moon and back to earth? So whenever you tell me you love me to the moon and back, you're basically telling me you love me for every heartbeat you have every day. And that's constantly. For the rest of your life."
Kai looks down at you and laughs. He pecks the top of your head and caresses your cheek gently. "Is that true?" He asks with wide eyes.
"Uhhh... Well... I'm not sure. It might be inaccurate. I just saw it in a comment on Weverse."
"Let's pretend it's a fact. Because even if that's not true, I'm still gonna love you more and more every time my heart beats. Meaning I'll love you forever! And that love will grow stronger every day."
Kai's sweet words made you blush. You giggled and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. Snuggling closer to him, you nuzzle your face into his neck and rest a hand on his chest. He slid his fingers in between yours and let out a deep exhale. You could feel his heartbeat and breathing slowing down as he became more relaxed, which also made you feel more relaxed too. "I think I'm falling asleep..." You yawn. Kai squeezes your hand and rubs circles on it with his thumb. "That's good. You need some rest after all of the comeback preparations, cutie. Should we sleep now?" Once more you found yourself blushing at his sweetness. You nod your head and yawn again before pulling him even closer. You stop trying to fight your heavy eyelids and finally shut your eyes.
It doesn't take long before you're fast asleep in Kai's arms. His presence always made you feel comfortable and soothed, so it wasn't surprising that his cuddles helped you fall asleep quickly. He felt the same about you too. Both of you could relax around each other and be yourselves, so there was no pressure to try and be energetic or social. You could lay together in silence or sleep like this for hours and the quality time would be the only thing that matters.
Kai looks down at your sleeping face and traces your lips with his finger. "You are so beautiful." He whispers, admiring every element of your face. A yawn escapes him and he stretches out one of his arms, being careful not to wake you up. He leaves a soft peck on your lips and gets comfortable in your bed, still cradling you in his arms. A smile rests on his face as he admired your features again. "Sweet dreams, Y/N. I love you more than you'll ever know."
