"I'll be here to pick you up at 8!" She said as I got out of the car.

"Alright mom!" I said waving to her.

I walked inside and checked in.

"Good morning Bethany."

"Hi Sam." I smiled at my manager. He was really cute to be honest.

I got on the register and started taking orders.

"Hi what can I get for you?"

"Um, what do you recommend?"

"Well I like the caramel frapp."

"I'll have that then."

"Will that be all?"

"Yeah."

"That will be three twenty-five-" Once I looked up I gasped.

"Haha, remember me?"

"Um, I... yeah." I stuttered uncontrollably. What the hell was Jack doing here?

He gave me the money and I gave him back his change.

"Um, Roger, I'm going to move to the books now."

"Okay."

I walked to the very back of the library and started organizing books.

"Why are you trying to avoid me?"
I heard him say from behind me.

"Because... I don't like you."

"Aw babe, your lips didn't say that." He said coming closer to me.

"What are you doing here anyways?"

"A guy can't get some coffee?"

"Not here." I brushed past him with a stack of books in my hands.

"Listen, I haven't seen you with your boyfriend around lately, I thought you guys broke up especially since he made it look like that."

I stopped at my tracks.

"What? What do you mean?"

"He's been with like two different girls this week. I figured I could- wait, you guys didn't break up?"

"We were never together." I choked out.

"Oh shit, Bethany, I'm sorry."

"It's okay... I should've known." I set the books down. How could he do this to me? How could I have been so stupid. I could feel the tears coming faster than ever.

"No no, Bethany, don't cry. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have said anything."

"No, I'm glad you did." I said staring at nothing. "What are you doing tomorrow?"

"Um I was going to this party-"

"Matt's?"

"Yeah. Him."

"I'm going too. We should, uh, we should go together."

"Yeah, if you want."

"I do." I said looking at him.

"Again, I'm sorry about Grayson."

"Who?"

I was feeling so many emotions.
Anger.
Sadness.
Heartbreak.
Hopelessness.

I knew he couldn't do it. He's the same skeezy horny bastard he was since day one.

I didn't want him back. But I did want revenge.
