Bethany's POV (I keep putting Mariah by accident sorry!!! geez)

Tonight was the night of the party.
I decided to wear a skin tight black dress and some black chunky boot slash heels. I loved my chunky platformed booties.

I walked to the living room to wait for Chelsea to come pick me up.

"Where are you going? Dressed like that?" my dad said looking up from the television.

"Chelsea's house." I lied.

"Nice, now how about you tell me where you're actually going?"

"A party..."

"Have fun sweetie." I heard my mom said from the kitchen. My mom always almost let me do what I wanted. I know she knows its rough for me because when my brother died I didn't leave my house once except for school.

My dad sighed. "Be safe is all I ask for Bethany."

"Of course daddy." I said giving him a peck on the cheek since Chelsea texted me she was outside.

"Don't wait up for me! I'm staying the night at Chelsea's again."

I walked out and ran to Chelsea's car.

"Whoa someone is excited!" She said smiling at me. "Cute outfit by the way." she said winking at me. "Who you trying to impress?"

"Not gonna lie, but anybody. I just need to get Grayson off my mind."

"What happened?"

"Let's just say he's never going change his man whore ways and it's more important than me even though I know he felt something at the lake."

"Yeah I saw that picture you posted on Instagram of you two. Who knew that kid had teeth."

"Shit I need to delete it. Whatever lets go. I want to have fun tonight."

"You stayin at my place?"

"Yep."

We drove off and I closed my eyes.

Faded memories blurred through my head. I opened my eyes and looked ahead of the road.

I saw Grayson... at the end of the road.

"CHELSEA STOP!"
The car abruptly stopped, the piercing noise of the tires rubbing against the road loud enough to scare a flock of birds, or burst an ear drum.

"BETHANY WHAT THE HELL?!"

"HE- HE- YOU ALMOST RAN HIM OVER!" I yelled at her while pointing ahead. Tears falling from my face like a waterfall.

"BETHANY!" she said gripping my arms. "THERE IS NOBODY THERE BABY! LOOK!" she said squeezing my face and turning it to the road in front of us.

"I'm so sorry..." I let out a sob.

"What has he done to you?" she said bringing me in for a hug.
