In the quiet room of Gavi, we both sit in a heavy silence. I clear my throat, breaking the stillness before cautiously speaking. "I'm sorry," I express, and Gavi glances up. His response is a harsh chuckle, "Don't apologize to me; apologize to Nailea. She's the one dating you, not me." His words cut deep, and I bite my tongue, suppressing the immediate reaction.

"Gavi let me explain." I say attempting to explain, but Gavi interrupts sharply, "Explain what, Pedri? That you were on the verge of kissing Sophia, who, let me remind you, is Nailea's best friend." His anger is evident, and I remain silent, meeting his intense gaze. "What were you thinking, man?" he questions, settling back. "Nailea's in a coma, and here you are, on the brink of kissing her best friend," he adds, each word carrying the weight of disappointment. The reality hits hard, and the word 'almost' hangs in the air, leaving me uncertain about whether to tell the truth of the actual kiss.

Closing my eyes, I inhale deeply, grappling with the turmoil within. "I don't even know what I'm doing, okay," I confess, meeting Gavi's gaze. "I... I wasn't thinking clearly," I admit, the weight of guilt tightening its grip. "The situation with Nailea, the uncertainty, it clouded my judgment," I explain, hoping for some understanding.

Gavi responds with a disapproving shake of his head. "Gavi?" I press, seeking some connection. "I went to Sophia's house yesterday to try and fix things," I reveal, noticing the concern that clouds Gavi's expression. Stumbling over my words, I struggle to voice the undeniable truth. Gavi's eyes widen, and I'm left uncertain about what's going on in his mind. "No way, Pedri," he erupts in anger. "You two kissed!" His accusation hangs in the air, and I nod slowly, bracing for his reaction.

"You're an idiot," Gavi declares, pushing himself up and swinging the door open. "Get out," he orders, gesturing to the hallway. "Gavi, come on," I plead, staying in my spot. "Dude, just leave," he insists, avoiding eye contact. I get up and walk towards the door. Once in the hallway, I turn back to face Gavi. "Gavi, please, just..." I begin, but my words are abruptly cut off as the door slams shut in my face. The finality of the moment leaves me standing alone in the hallway, grappling with the consequences of my actions.
