As soon as we entered the party, brightly coloured flashing lights blinded the two of us.

'Are you gunna drink tonight ?' He shouted over the loud music.

'Might as well, right.' I replied.

Before he could say or do anything else I spotted a booth. I got excited and rushed over to them.

Forgetting that I had looped my arm through Charles' along the way, meaning that I had dragged him along too.

'Why'd you bolt like that ?' He giggled to himself.

'Booth.' I showed him.

'Aaah okay, you sit down what drink do you want ?' This boy was making me insane. But I soon reminded myself that he still thinks that I'm dating his brother. For real.

'Whatever has the most alcohol!' I shouted so he could hear me.

After he left for the drinks I began scrolling through my phone while wondering what Arthur was up to.

Soon my phone began to ring.

I didn't hesitate to pick up.

'Arthur ?' I said praying that it wasn't a butt dial.

'Y/n !' He shouted excitedly, 'I'm so happy you picked up, I wanted to talk to you and tell you about how sorry I am and about my feeli-'

'Hey Y/n there was really quick service up there so I got you a high dose champagne as a treat.' Charles told me. Standing by our table.

'Is that my fucking brother.' I heard Arthur say, angrily.

'Yes but Arthur it's not-'

'Don't call me back.'

I was suddenly cut off the beeping of my phone when he hung up on me.

'Sorry I didn't realise you were on the phone. Is everything alright ?' Charles sat down next to me, he got closer and handed me my drink.

I gulped a large mouthful and looked down at my hands where I fiddled around with my rings.

'Y/n.' He said quietly. His voice was a sense of comfort.

'I think I just lost Arthur.' I carefully put my phone back down on the table.

There was suddenly a defining silence between us. It was killing me.

He put his arm behind me and grabbed my shoulder, pulling me into a tight hug, I put my hand on his chest and rested there for a moment.

'Wanna dance ?' He blurted out.

'I don't feel like dancing.' I sadly told him.

'Well no one ever feels like dancing.' He rubbed his hand against my arm.

'Fine.' I gave up and lifted my head. I picked up my glass and shot it all down my throat. He got up and offered me his hand.

They slapped together and we held each others tightly. But the thing is it was a party and not a ball. Which I would have preferred. He made me feel like a princess though.

We made it to the dance floor together and we just began moving to the music. I let go of his hand and put my arms on both of his shoulders as we swayed to the beat.

'Would you rather be here with me or sitting over there lonely with your drink.' He grinned at me.

'You. Always you Charles.'
