Arthur's POV:

My eyes slowly opened, they ached, so did my head. What had I drank last night, and how did I get back to my hotel room.

I sat up in my sheets, still in my clothes from last night. There was no way I had brought myself back here. Not in the state I was in.

I unplugged my phone which was on charge next to my bed. I had multiple notifications from Charles. I wasn't drunk enough to forget or forgive him for what he did.

Charles

C: Arthur pick up the phone
C: is Y/n with you?
C: she didn't come home last night
C: just answer me please

A: u were waiting for her to come home?

I waited patiently for his reply while trying to think about where Y/n could be.

C: no Arthur there's nothing between us anymore
C: I went to check on her this morning and she didn't answer the door

I got up and took off my shirt, I was hot and needed a shower. I walked over to my window and opened the curtains.

Suddenly I heard a mumble behind me.

I quickly turned around to see Y/n asleep on the couch at the end of my bed. Covering her eyes with her arm because it was too bright.

'Y/n.' I bluntly said.

She took her arm away and looked up at me.

'Morning.' She replied, her voice was unfiltered.

'Why are you here?' I continued.

'How drunk were you Arth? I drove you home.' She reminded me.

It all came back to me, what I had said to her, me leaning on her and holding her hand as she walked me home. And me begging her not to leave last night.

'I'm sorry I called, you can go now.' I told her.

She got up, it was then that I realised that she hadn't slept with a blanket or a duvet. Just a couch and a pillow.

On her way out I stopped her.

'And Y/n.'

She spun around to look at me.

'I didn't mean what I told you last night.'

I expected her face to dim, her expression to change. But it didn't. She was fine, she looked normal.

'I know, I tried to tell you but you continued.' She said opening the door of my room.

'I'll see you later.' She commented on her way out.

'Why will you see me later?' I questioned.

'Scotty and Chloe's wedding, it's a bit late to drop out now Arthur.'

When she said my name I wanted her back, I wanted all of her back, I wanted to kiss her and hold her again and I wanted to see the expression on her face change when I spoke to her.

I missed her already and I hated Charles for pulling us apart. I had no choice but to push her away.
