Chapter 11 - Adventures with Shanks. Discovering New Powers.

*Y/N's POV*

It's been 2 days since I left Whitebeard's crew. I was now traveling with Shanks and the others.

Yasopp was teaching me how to shoot. Since he said that my eyes can pick up anything. I agreed to let him teach me.

I aimed at a right angle I considered the wind too. I stayed calm, just like Yasopp told me too. I breathe in and out, and shoot. We checked the wooden person it landed on the heart. I smiled.

"Good job, N/N." Yasopp said ruffling my hair.

Suddenly Shanks called for me I looked at him and smiled. "Yes?" I asked.

"Why were you at Whitebeards crew?" He asked.

'I should tell him. He needs to know. But...' I thought.

"I-I..." | stuttered. 'I'm afraid.. I'm afraid to recall the past.. but he has the right to know.' I thought.

"You don't have to tell me N/N." Shanks said smiling at me. "No, you need to know." I said.

"A year ago. A week after me and Luffy's birthday. I was kidnapped." | started, I held tightly to my scarf that Ace gave me.

"I was kidnapped by slave traders. I got sold to a Celestial Dragon." | said showing them my back where the mark laid.

(A/N: Or where ever you want it just comment where Kay?).

"This mark proves that I was a slave.
But me and the other slaves were freed, but I got shot trying to escape in the process. Another slave saved me and took me to an island. I stayed there for a few months. I saw Whitebeards ship and sneaked in. That's how I ended up in Whitebeards crew." I said tears running down my cheeks.

Suddenly I was pulled into a hug. Shanks wiped my tears. " promise, you'll never go through that again, Y/N." He said.

My eyes widened, since he almost never calls me by my real name. He just calls me, N/N,

I went on adventures with Shanks it was fun. I got to train, with Yasopp, Benn, Lucky Roo, and Shanks and the others. I was now strong enough to protect myself. One thing, that I feared on one of the adventures.

"Shanks! I wanna get some clothes!" | said, Shanks looked at me.

"Why?" He asked, I looked at him.

"These clothes are small for me now!" I said pouting, puffing my cheeks. He smiled at me, and ruffled my hair.

"Alright, alright." He said smiling. I fixed my hair. Shanks ordered to go to a nearby island.

Shanks and I walked through the crowd we got to the clothes store I picked some out, and Shanks picked some. Shanks paid for the clothes. We came out and walked back to the ship.

"Alright. I'm gonna go get the others. He can take care of you." He said. I looked behind me and saw the new crew member. I nodded.

"Be safe, and come back soon." I said.

I didn't want to be alone with the new crew member, cause I didn't trust him. I told Shanks not to let him in, but he didn't listen to me. Shanks nodded and left. I sat at the deck waiting for them to come. Suddenly I felt the new crew member put something on my mouth I inhaled which was a big mistake. I passed out.

When I woke up I was on a boat the man was ready to leave the sun was going down.

"Your going to fetch a high prize." The man said.

'No! No! I don't want to be a slave again! Not again!' I thought. I tried to escape but the ropes didn't allow me to do so.

So I did, one thing I could. I screamed. "AHHH!!!!"

Suddenly the man dropped fainting. I looked at him curiously.

"| see." someone said behind me. I flinched. I looked at the person and saw Shanks.

"S-Shanks.." | said tears coming out. Shanks took me setting me on the ground, and took off the ropes. "I told you, I won't let them take you again. Not back there."
He said hugging me with his one arm.

I hugged back I looked around and saw Lucky Roo, Yasopp, and Benn. They took me back to the ship, the other crew looked at Shanks and saw me.

They sighed in relief. "Y/N!" They said. I smiled at them. "I'm back." | said weakly. I fell asleep refusing to let go of Shanks.

*Morning*

I woke up and saw Shanks I was on his chest. "Shanks.." | shook him. He woke up and saw me he smiled. We walked on the deck.

"Shanks what was that about? He just fainted." | asked referring to last night.

"That, N/N, was what I wanted to talk to you about." He said turning to me. We sat down on the deck.

"N/N, that was you who did it. It's called Haki. I never knew a kid would be able to awaken it at such an early age. N/N, your going to have a new training program, and I'm going to train you." He said,

I smiled at him. "Alright." | accepted. "If it means I get to see Luffy and Ace again. I'll do anything." | said. He nodded and ruffled my hair.

And that. Was how I discovered my power over Haki. I trained thinking I would be able to see my brothers again. I was 11 at the time.

4 years later, I mastered it. I told Shanks I wanted to go back to Whitebeards ship and he agreed he dropped me off at an island close to where Whitebeards are. That was how I reunited with my eldest brother.
