He flinched.

He flinched when Roy slammed the door after yelling at the team. Roy saw him out of the corner of his eye as he turned into his office. Jamie's shoulders hunched and his hands raised slightly, as though to defend himself.

He flinched when Roy raised his hand for a high-five. It was only a small flinch. Jamie jerked his head away from Roy's hand then, passing it off as a joke, he high-fived Roy. Although Jamie laughed it off, Roy saw the glimmer of fear in the younger man's eyes.

He flinched when Roy shouted at him, a few times. But one in particular was when, out of the blue, Roy bellowed 'JAMIE!'. Jamie had leapt ten feet in the air, much unlike his usual reaction of merely turning around, and ducked before turning to face Roy. Once again, the team laughed it off, but Roy saw the sheer terror in Jamie's eyes when he turned. It was then that Roy swore to himself not to yell 'Jamie' ever again.

Jamie flinched when Roy went to hug him after his dad's appearance post-Wembley. Roy didn't pay any attention to it, he almost expected it given their history and what had just happened. His head ducked but Roy just enveloped him in comfort, feeling how tense he was and let him know that he was safe by holding him tight. Jamie eventually relaxed into the hug, gripping Roy just as tight, if not more so, and crying into his shoulder.
