Summer was the main part of the year where people feel free to be themselves in a way that they weren't in school. Whether its being the biggest party animal and slut, or the most quiet and laid back person.

Once summer ends, all of that ends. Its back to stress and less sleep.

School started back up on July 14th, 2020. Students crowding the halls trying to figure out where they are bound to be within their 5 minute passing periods is the best thing to watch.

I am a senior at West Trent Highschool and every year I was always unbothered by people because i've always been close with just my small group of friends. My best friends, Tara and Clenton, have been there since preschool. We have been attached by the hip ever since. We all ignore the roaring drama of others because we have enough of it as it is and we support each other through all of it.

I truly don't know where i would be without them. All i know is that they make Highschool more tolerable.

My schedule is pretty easy this year because most of my teachers are the same as last year and the years before. My marketing teacher, Ms. Crocker, has been my math teacher since the 4th grade. My middle school is within the same district which makes school 10 times easier.

She has always understood my thinking and has always been a big supporter of my dreams to create a band. I don't tell her every aspect of my life but i tell her the main parts because sometimes its good to have more than just your friends to talk about your feelings to.

At every school there are the groups of people, such as, the art geeks, weirdly sexual theatre kids, band kids with some in color guard, the edgars, skaters, druggies, and etc.

But mainly there is the so called popular kids, they are the main people I stay away from. They are usually the ones that carry the drama and secrets of others. What sucks most about it is that i've always wanted to be more known like they are but I choose to stick to my comfort zone. Which is my more unknown group and I.

We aren't the "weird" kids. We just don't want the spotlight as the others do. At least I don't want it as much as freshman through junior year me wanted.

I'm more than ready to graduate this year and start a new chapter of my life. But for right now I am comfortable.
