AINSLEY WALKER / FIRST PERSON

I was assigned B lunch meaning it's after fourth period. I was eager to meet up with my group and tell them every detail about my classes.

I walk over to the same table we have sat at since freshman year and I can already hear them gossiping about boys and other pointless shit.

"Hey guys!"

They stared, waved, then continued to their conversation.

I hate it when they do that because I feel like I can never get out what I want to say.

My thoughts were interrupted when the red headed girl from my fourth class taps my shoulder and asks to take a seat next to me.

I can already smell her sweet perfume.

She sits down next to me and asks how my day has been so far. I didn't know what to say considering that SHE was my entire day. My thoughts are revolving around her now.

"My day hasn't been very interesting, yours?"

She shrugs my sudden dry attitude off, "Mines been ok, not very adventurous."

"Ainsley are you sure you're okay?"

no but she doesn't have to know that, I've known her for an hour

"I'm sorry, it was a long night of being anxious for school to start back up."

oh so now they want to speak to me?

"-Can we go to your house to get ready for Cayden's back to school bash? I know how all of you sluts have a crush on my brother, so we need no distractions." Kaidence asks and lets a little giggle follow behind showing her sarcasm.

Kaidence has always been a bitch. It started freshman year when she saw me walking and decided to compliment my outfit. I thought she was the sweetest person I have ever met. But of course that was before I got even closer with her and her group. It was sophomore year when I was officially considered all of their best friends. I started getting angry when they would disregard my feelings and look right through me. I was only there when they needed something. I feel useless. I hope Taylor doesn't get in deep with them.

"Uh-" I pause and look up at them. "Sure, i'll have to let my parents know."

"Perfect!" She claps her hands. "I can give rides." Kaidence finally acknowledges Taylor's existence and asks if she wants to come along. Taylor nodded and let Kaidence know that she will drive herself so she can get an outfit.
