Birthstone kingdom

Chapter 1

'Elenore, my love.' He knelt down towards my mother. 'Please forgive me, it was just a simple mistake.' He started tearing up. My mother looked stone cold. 'Freddy, just a simple mistake?' she was angry but said it calmly, pretty scary. 'For god sakes! You cheated on me, with the damn maid!' Freddy started crying and mother looked at me. 'Elena, follow me.'

My mother rushed away and I ran after her. We sat down in the library. 'Ela my dear daughter. I need your advice, what should I do with your step-father.' She started tearing up and looking me in my eyes. 'Mother, this is the third time he cheated on you in the past 5 months. Please end this relationship, he will only continue to do it and get away with it because you forgive him every single time. You're the ruler of a big kingdom, act like it!' I said a bit too harsh 'Dear, go to your room I will think about it.' My mother said looking at the ground.

I walked to my room. I see Freddy still crying on the ground. As I walk into my room I sit on the bed and look to my left. There it was, my crown. I was the youngest of 2 brothers and 2 sisters. My siblings where no good to advise, the one thing they want was money and one day a claim to our mothers throne. We all got our own crown, with our birthstones and gems in it, our father designed them before he passed 5 years ago.

We got the oldest: Eugene, he is the first in line of the throne and as gems in his crown he got peridot (he was born in august). Then we got Eliot, his gem is diamond (he was born in April). Then we got Emma who has Ruby (born in July) and then Eva who has Sapphire (born in September) and last but not least me, I have Amethyst (born in February).

I don't care much about my mother's throne, I know I'm the last one in line and I'd rather focus on something else then whether or not I will become queen one day.

I walk back to the library and I see Freddy and mother laughing and smiling. Ugh she forgave him again. they spot me and I walk towards them. My mother with pure joy in her eyes: 'oh dear! It is all okay now, we are together again!' I say nothing and walk right through the library and enters the hallway. Walking towards the garden I see my siblings rushing to the library to be all over them.

I sit in the garden and I just want to cry, how could mother be so forgiving? I watch birds flying and chirping around. One sits next to me. I give it some cookie crumbs left in my pocket. The bird flies away and I stand up. I'll go to the city today and go undercover.

The only way the public has seen me was in a purple/gold dress, lot's of make-up and my crown. I will put on some normal clothes and no make-up.

When I got done I run towards my bike and speed of to the city. I got some guards running after me but I was to fast.
