Two weeks before the battle

Avalon knew they'd win and yet, she was still worried.
Terrified even.
What if something did go wrong? What if someone was killed? What if.... So many worries constantly flooded her mind.
Len went up to her. "I know this is going to sound hypocritical but... You can sit this out, come in only if necessary."
"No. No, I've been involved with the planning too much...."
"You should sit this out." Maryanne said.
"I'll be fine." Avalon said but she didn't sound convinced of it herself.
Len sighed and wandered off, Maryanne following.
Soren walked up. "Sorry, but I heard you and Len's conversation. Stay here or go back to your own home. We can handle this."
"No, Soren."
Soren sighed and changed the subject. "I've noticed that you and Bellatrix have bonded."
"Yes. She's taken me as her keeper."
"Keeper?"
"Yes. Each dragon, if they choose to, has a dragon keeper. The keepers help their dragons and in return, the dragons help their keepers."
"Oh. Now it makes sense."
Avalon smiled. "I've noticed that Albious is hanging around you a lot."
"Novac's hanging around Len."
"I wonder if he's noticed."
"I don't think he has."
Soren chuckled. "One day, Len's gonna turn around and be face to face with Novac just staring at him."
Ava laughed. "Yep."
