As I was talking to my mom on the phone, explaining to her that I am safe, I hatched a plan. I could find an opportunity to see if my nails match the marks. He's the one who made it easy. As we were leaving I fit my nails perfectly into the indents in his arm. Gotcha. I know he didn't meet with some random girl last night, he was the one in my bedroom. I smiled as we drove away. I probably should be scared, but I know that he would never hurt me. He's proved that time and time again. The silence was almost tangible. "Tell me more about this mystery girl." I broke the silence and leaned over the center console. His gaze hardened, "What about her?" He asked. "What's she like? She obviously worth a lot to you if you'll meet her during a serial killer spree." I smiled and placed my hand on his lower thigh. We were close, but far enough that I could retract at any minute. "It isn't like that, Y/n." He was getting frustrated. "Why do you care anyways? We barely know each other." He was cold. "I think I know you pretty well, Joe." I smiled. He pulled off the road into a patch of trees. "What are you doing?" I asked as I pulled away from him. He put the car in park and turned toward me. "What I want." He growled. He unbuckled his seatbelt, then mine. He grabbed my underarms and tossed me into the backseat. My eyes were wide. He followed me back and pinned me down by my wrists. I was frozen, I didn't expect this. He kissed my neck again, and this time I was positive it was him. I remember the chills these lips sent down my spine. I tried to pull my arms up but he pushed down harder. He came up off of my neck and pressed his lips down firmly on mine. I kissed him back, and he let go of my wrists, I brought them up into his hair. Knock knock. We pulled off of each other and paused. Joe turned around and saw an officer knocking on the window. Joe got off of me and stepped out of the car. I sat up and waited. I couldn't hear what they were saying. Joe was smiling and the officer seemed relaxed. Joe opened the door "Come out, it's alright." I got out and smiled at the officer. "Sorry again officer, I'm really embarrassed." He admitted. "It's alright Joe, I just saw a car and was afraid of another victim." He sighed and took off his hat. "Y/n, this is Justin's dad." I smiled politely but felt a little sick to my stomach. I was just making out with the guy who killed this man's son. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Sam's roommate." I took a breath. "I'm so sorry about your loss." His eyes got cloudy. "It's nice to meet you too. I'll find him." He turned away from us and wiped his eyes. "You kids go on. This isn't a safe place to be. Joe, it was nice to see you again and to meet your girlfriend." Joe opened his mouth and promptly closed it again. He nodded and we got back into his car. We drove the few minutes to his house in silence. We walked inside and he shut the door behind me, I turned to him but I felt a hand gripping the sides of my throat. He backed me up against the wall. He leaned in and kissed me again. He released the hold he had on my throat and my head felt fuzzy as all the blood rushed back. He grabbed me by my hips and I wrapped my legs around him, he carried me into his bedroom and slammed me down onto his bed. I was shocked by his strength. He walked out of the room, and I was confused. I sat there for a few minutes. He turned the corner, wearing the mask. "Hey, Princess." He said, twirling his knife.
