Sophia
"I can see under all that confidence is a scared, insecure boy who thrives on people's downfall"

I am now sat on my bed, replaying the horrors that just happened in my head. I don't know what came over me really. I just felt so angry.

But saying it didn't make me feel better. It made my stomach churn just thinking about it.

But why.

That phrase hovered over me filling the room with its horrifying essence. The phrase that I knew the answer to in my heart for the few seconds that I had liked our interaction.

When our eyes connected to each other. When I didn't pull away. Them few seconds felt like heaven.

No.

They felt safe.

The one word I had never experienced in my childhood.

When I was with him.

But after that. My mind snapped back to what he had done a few hours before. He had humiliated me in-front of the people I dreaded most. And then he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about.

And then the face he made when I said the words.

"A scared, insecure boy who thrives on people's downfall."

It made me feel bad. He looked at me, confusion in his eyes.

And he looked hurt.

Jay batcher.

Hurt.

I hadn't known if I had seen it right. But how would I know; it was probably another one of his games. I'd seen it all. How he'd hurt the girls he'd wanted the day before. I really didn't know how he did it. No guilt. Nothing. He'd turn up to school with another cheeky grin, showing his dimples, day after day.

He was a jerk. A jerk for making me feel this way. Making me feel this way after everything.

The next day came fast as I lunged at my alarm clock shutting it off, pulling my covers off my body.

6:45.

I knew I shouldn't but what's 15 minutes extra sleep if I have an hour and a half to get ready. Before long, I covered my body with my covers and let the darkness take me under.

"Sophia."

My name flickered around the room as my eyes opened in alarm.

Shoot how long had I been asleep.

"Sophia," my mum called, "someone's here for u."

My mind twisted to my clock which read 7:10. Oh I hadn't been asleep long. Who would want me at this time of day?

"Coming mum," I replied quickly putting on my outfit I had prepared myself for school. I always made sure my outfits were prepared and organised so that was the least of my worries.

I ran downstairs and for some reason I was now fully awake. When I got to the door, I saw my mum talking to some boy. And to my liking, he had a nice back. Brown hair and shoulders that looked like that had been sculpted.

"Oh Sophia, there u are darling, this beautiful gentleman was just telling me that he goes to your school."

My school.

The boy turned around.

And I saw him.

The one boy I dreaded to see the most.

What the hell was he doing here? In my house? Did he learn nothing?

He must of seen my angry face because he dropped my bracelet in front of me and stepped back.

"Sorry I don't mean to intrude, just thought I'd deliver this."

My bracelet. Omg I had lost it. How could I forget it somewhere?

"Thank you," I mutter under my breath because in that moment, I really was thankful because heck knows what I would of done if I had lost that bracelet.

Or what he would of done.

To me.
