Jaden POV:
When I rejoined the Elders at the platform, I was surprised to see that the room had filled with a lot of other people, too.
The benches were all taken up by people who were chatting back and forth excitedly among themselves. There were even some small children with their parents in the seats.
I'd been shaking pretty terribly before, but now I was even more nervous. Why on earth had all of them come here?
Oh, right, maybe they wanted to see the ceremony...
That kind of freaked me out a little.
Arlows hand on my back pulled me from my thoughts, and he leaned to whisper in my ear, "Don't worry, they're all just members and part of your new family. They wanted to welcome you here. They mean well."
