Emma looked at her form in the gym mirror, it was good, her back straight and her knees at 90 degrees. She was dressed in an oversized, long grey T-shirt and tight black sports pants. She had her headphones on listening to her favorite music.

She promised herself that she would talk to her crush that day. He probably didn't even know her name, well, she didn't know his name either, but she likes his eyes, they looked calm and kind and he had helped her before when a weight nearly fell on her that's when she liked him, he didn't talk to her then and she thanked him, he only smiled at her and nodded. She had never seen him talking to anyone in the gym before.

She glanced at him from the corner of her eyes. He seemed to have finished his set and was resting and drinking water.

She gathered up her courage and went to him. By the time she reached him, he had stopped panting and was looking for something in his bag while sitting down.

"Hello. Excuse me." She said it timidly, but it seemed that her voice was not loud enough for him to hear, so she repeated the same sentience a little louder. Still, no response.

Maybe he had Ear Pods on, so she moved to stand in front of him awkwardly and then he finally looked up at her and smiled a little with questioning eyes. He kept looking for something in his bag and she found this rude of him. She was about to move away and gather what was left of her dignity when he found what he was looking for, and it was his phone, and he began to type on it, which got her to leave disappointed. She thought that he was nice and kind, now. She heard him running after her till he was in front of her and showed her his phone. It was opened on notes and typed there was. I am so sorry I could not hear you, I am deaf. Oh, ooooh.

Emma felt her cheeks fire up and she was very embarrassed.

"Oh my god, I am so so sorry. I did not know." She rumpled on and then remembered that he could not hear her, how stupid of her, she kept embarrassing herself in front of him. She signaled for him to wait and jogged to her bag Fishing her phone out of it and going back to him.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't know, my mistake." she typed and showed it to him. He smiled at her, and it got to her heart, his smile was so cute.

"It is all right, used to it. How can I help you?" He typed again, yes right, that. Now she had to gather her courage once more and ask him for his number.

"I think that you look so handsome, so if you are single, Can I have your number?" She showed him the phone and looked into his eyes, which looked confused when he read her request and that made her lose her momentarily confidence but still, she did not flinch and waited patiently. He began typing on his phone with a small kind smile.

"That's very nice of you. I think you are cute as well. You can write your number and I will text you, how about that?" That made her smile widen and she grabbed his phone and typed her number and gave it to him.

He typed something and showed it to her." What's your name?"

"Emma. What about you?" She typed back on her own phone and showed it to him.

To that he smiled and typed on his phone "I am Kevin, nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too," She said instead of writing how stupid oh her. She tried to type back he was faster in typing and showing to her that he read her lips.

"Thank you, I'll text you." He typed again.

She nodded and parted ways. She quickly gathered her things and walked back to her home with a giddy smile on her face.

She took her time in the shower singing happily. When she was out of the shower, her roommate Stephanie was there looking at her questioningly.

"What happened?" She asked
