Ai Hoshino's POV
"Alright everyone, that's it for today. We've got our show in two days, which means we've got to go full throttle tomorrow. Be ready, after the concert we'll have a weeks break." A few of the girls approached me, they were talking about meeting up after practice. "Hey Hoshino-san, want to join us? We're going out to eat." I'd normally accept, but I've got other plans today. "Sorry girls, I'm gonna have to skip out on it today, I'm meeting a friend of mine." Nino looked at me with a smug grin, she's definitely going to tease me. "Oh Aiiii~ are you going to see that boy you met the other day at the coffee shop? You two must really get along if you're already going on a second date!" My face turned bright red, Nino is far too good at teasing me. "I-I told you it's not like that Nino! We met by coincidence, it wasn't a date or anything!" Nino maintained her smug grin, clearly intent on teasing me even more. "Sure sure Ai, whatever you say. Alright, tell your boyfriend I said hi." This girl is evil I swear! She's such a ruthless tease. It's not even like that... I think? I mean we only met a few days ago, it's too early to say we're anything past acquaintances, let alone dating. "Ai-san, you're mumbling to yourself, if you keep thinking so hard, you'll miss your date!" Yet again, Nino continues to tease me to no end.
(Y/N)'s POV
I've got a meetup with Ai today. She said that she wanted to thank me for helping her with that stalker. I told her she didn't have to, but she wouldn't take no for an answer. "(F/N), we're heading out! Wanna grab a drink with us?" These guys, I swear. "I'm a minor, you know that I can't. I have plans anyway. See you tomorrow." My coworker clearly wanted to protest, but I had already begun walking away. "Director-san, I'm leaving for today." I bowed, bidding him farewell. "Sure thing kid, don't get in any trouble." With that, I was off.
I shot Hoshino-san a message as I was the first to arrive at our designated meeting place. We had plans to visit a local ramen bar. She thinks she has to repay me, but I don't see why she thinks she has to do anything for me. It's not like I did anything deserving of praise. My thoughts were interrupted by the one and only Ai. "Hi hi! It's good to see you again! Though if I'm being honest, I didn't notice you at first. You're too good at disguises (L/N)-san~" Too good at disguises? I didn't change anything today. I left the studio and came straight here. "You're a ditz, Hoshino-san." She just gave me an innocent smile in response. "Anyway, let's go! You said the ramen bar we're visiting is one of the best in town right? I've been waiting to try it out!" I let out a small sigh, "Alright, if you insist."
No One's POV
As the two entertainers walked into the small streetside restaurant, the distinct smell of miso and soy sauce became apparent. Find empty seats wasn't difficult, the lunch rush had already passed through a few hours ago and it was still too early for dinner, meaning the place was pretty much empty. "This is Delicious! (L/N)-san, let me try yours!" Before he could protest, Ai grabbed a noodle from (Y/N)'s bowl, happily slurping it down as (Y/N) looked on with a purposely overexaggerated face of betrayal. "You are truly cruel, Hoshino-san. How will I ever recover from this?" Ai caught on to the jest, and followed along. "I am truly sorry for committing such a dishonorable act, shall I fall upon my sword to repent?" The mood was light between the pair, being as busy as they were, this was a nice change of pace.
Before they new it, the dinner rush hit. That was the signal to leave as fast as possible, lest they get trapped by the horde of office workers that was bound to appear. Before they left, they ended up splitting the cost, as neither of them would budge on who was going to pay for the food. Ai insisted it was her treat, but (Y/N) kept insisting that she owed him nothing. Thus, the hangout ended with the (Y/N) walking Ai back to the hotel B-Komachi had been staying at.
Ai Hoshino's POV
What incredible fun I had! Who would've thought going to such a simple place could be that entertaining? Maybe if I get some time off, I can visit with Nino again! While I was reminiscing on the days events as we walked a though came to my mind. Do I want to see him again? My face went a little red at the thought. Thankfully (L/N)-san didn't see, as I was facing away from him. Would he even like to see me again? I-I mean he seemed to enjoy hanging out with me... I thought in an intense silence as we walked. Alright! I've made up my mind. I'll ask him!
(Y/N)'s POV
Me and Ai walked down the street under the cover of a setting sun. We weren't really in a rush, we just walked quietly. Today was quite enjoyable, maybe I'll try and ask Hoshino-san to hang out again. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing her face again... Maybe... Just a little... Before I realized it, my face had began to heat up thinking about her. Me and Ai? There's no way that'd work anyway. She's too perfect for someone as broken as me. I was taken out of my self deprecating thoughts when Ai stopped in her tracks. She took a deep breath before turning to me, her face showing a tint of red. "H-hey, (L/N)-san, w-would you like to come to my concert? I-Iunderstandifyoucan'tfititintoyourschedulebut-" I cut her rambling off with a small chuckle. "I'd love to Ai. I happen to be off the same day, I don't know about tickets though, I'll look around. In that moment, her face lit up with a smile that far surpassed any I'd ever seen. The dark thoughts I'd been bearing disappeared, and for but a moment, my only thought was... She really is beautiful when she truly smiles.
