No One's POV
Three weeks had passed since that night. Due to work, communication had been rather sparce between the now couple. Ai rarely got off at an early hour due to practice, and (Y/N) had been hard at work in his new role. To say the least, they were both rather affection starved. As much as they could talk on the phone or text, it never relieved the desire to see one another. For three weeks, they'd managed to hang on, until now. It just so happens that they both got a day off, and they both fully planned to spend it together.
Ai Hoshino's POV
Makeup? Check... Contacts? Also Check... What am I missing? Just then, I heard (L/N)-san call me from the other room. "Hoshino-san, I know you're probably busy in their, but can you hurry up? I still need to show you how to properly disguise yourself. Last time when we met at the café, I spotted you at a glance." How rude! I mean yeah he did but... Oh whatever! Pouting about it won't get me anywhere. "Fine, fine. Come in, it's not locked." Looking at the door, I watched (L/N)-san enter, carrying several unlabeled bottles. "uhh... (L/N)-san, what's in the bottles?" His response was a nonchalant "Don't worry about it." That doesn't inspire much confidence. "Don't worry, Hoshino-san. I put this stuff in my hair once or twice a week and I haven't lost all of my hair yet." W-WHAT!? Surely he's joking right? Seeing my face of both disbelief and slight fear, he chuckled. "Don't worry Hoshino-san, it's perfectly safe. I wouldn't put something on you if I wasn't willing to use it myself." My cheeks puffed out, It seems I ended up pouting anyway. "Don't make such a cute face Hoshino-san, I won't be able to concentrate on helping you."
(Y/N)'s POV
Upon hearing my compliment, Hoshino-san's face turned a warm red before she looked down, avoiding eye contact with me. She started mumbling something, not that I could hear. "Alright hold still, I've got put this stuff in your hair." Holding still, I carefully covered her hair with the liquid making sure I didn't get any on her face or in her eyes. Alright... All set! It usually takes fifteen to twenty minutes to set in for me, so Ai should have similar results. "It's gonna take a few minutes Hoshino-san, you can't touch your hair for a bit. This was the first time I used this on you, so I decided just to lighten your hair color. Don't worry, It'll come out by tomorrow morning if you wash thoroughly." Hoshino-san was nodding her head, so hopefully she understands. With that, I let her be for a bit.
No One's POV
About ten or so minutes later, Ai walked out of her room, taking a seat on her couch next to (Y/N). Her hair had very clearly lightened in color, from its dark purples with the occasional pink strand to a lavender-ish color with strands of faded pink. "Seems like the formula worked well Hoshino-san. Are you ready to go?" Ai looked up at (Y/N), a smile on her face before responding with a excited "Yes!"
---- Time Skip ----
The day was in full swing, with Ai and (Y/N) making their way around Tokyo, visiting different many different places. The itinerary called for a trip to a movie theater, the mall, and a restaurant. Ai being Ai however, there were quite a few more stops on the way. Not that (Y/N) minded, he was just happy to get to spend time with her. The recording for the film he had been taking part in had been incredibly strenuous as of late, so being able just to take a break was amazing. "Hey (L/N)-san, are you ok? You're spacing out again." Ai had been watching (Y/N), seeing him space out a few times throughout the trip. "Sorry Hoshino-san, I've just got a lot on my mind because of my job." Ai didn't like his response, chopping him on the head with her hand. "We're here to relax and not think of work. Now stop thinking about work!" The way she said it made (Y/N) think she was trying to cast a spell or something, and unsure on how to respond, he just gave an "uhuh". Clearly already done with the interaction at hand, Ai rushed ahead, laying her hands on shirt. Taking it off the rack, she turned towards (Y/N) before asking the most dreaded question a man might face. "Hey (L/N)-san, how do you think this would look on me?" (Y/N) blinked, caught off guard by Ai's sudden question. He looked at the shirt she was holding up, a cute, pastel-colored blouse. Regaining his composure, he replied, "W-Well, I think it would look amazing on you, Hoshino-san. B-But you always look great in anything you wear." He smiled, hoping his compliment would ease the tension.
Ai's cheeks turned pink as she turned away to hide her face, appreciating the compliment. "R-Really? Well, if you say so, (L/N)-san." She paused for a moment before continuing, "Should I try it on, then?" (Y/N) nodded, trying to play it cool. "Sure, go ahead. I'll wait right here." Ai disappeared into the changing room, leaving (Y/N) to lean against a nearby display, trying not to think about his ever-tiring job. He couldn't help but feel grateful for Ai's presence, how she managed to bring some light into his life, especially during such exhausting times. She had become a source of comfort and joy in his otherwise hectic and demanding acting career. A soft voice interrupted his thoughts as Ai stepped out of the changing room, wearing the pastel blouse. She nervously twirled a strand of her newly lavender hair, looking both shy and hopeful for his approval. (Y/N)'s heart skipped a beat at the sight of her, and he couldn't deny how beautiful she looked in the outfit.
"You look amazing, Hoshino-san," he said sincerely, feeling a blush creep us his face. "The color really suits you, and it complements your hair perfectly." Ai's cheeks flushed as she gave a small smile. "Thank you, (L/N)-san. I'm glad you like it." Wanting to break the renewed awkward tension, (Y/N) spoke up. "A-Anyway Hoshino-san, we should head out. The movie is gonna start in the next thirty minutes, and we shouldn't miss it." Ai smiled, grateful for the change of subject. "You're right, (L/N)-san. Let's go!" She grabbed his hand, and they made their way to the movie theater, their fingers intertwined. The movie was nothing too special, another sequel movie made for money. "Did you like the movie, Hoshino-san?" he asked, turning his attention to her. Ai nodded in response. "It was pretty good. Though I do think that the series had gone on for far too long, considering that this was like the eighth or nineth movie. Shouldn't they make something else?" He nodded to her question. "The new movies in the series aren't that bad, but they very clearly are just making them for the money at this point." In agreement, they moved on. Continuing their day, they found themselves sitting at a cozy restaurant, sharing a delicious meal. The conversation flowed easily, with so much time away from one another, there was bound to be quite a bit to talk about. Finishing their meals, the bill was paid and the two lovers left the restaurant.
Ai Hoshino's POV
What a day! I didn't think having this much fun was even possible, let alone with someone else. "H-hey (L/N)-san, thanks for taking me out today. I hope we can do this again some time." (L/N)-san smiled warmly at me, "Definitely. I had a wonderful time too." We walked together, hand in hand, there was a sense of contentment in the air. We were in our own little world, disconnected from the hustle and bustle of the city around us.
"You know, (L/N)-san..." Come on Ai! You can do this, just ask him! "These past few weeks have been tough with our busy schedules, do you think that maybe we could..." Before I could fully ask him my question, I cut myself off. "Hmm? What was that Hoshino-san? I didn't hear you." Oh thank god, he didn't hear what I was gonna say. I got cold feet and couldn't say it. "I-It's nothing! Don't worry about it." I bet my face is bright red right now... Would he even say yes if I asked him to stay over? After the nearly awkward and interaction, a comfortable silence took over as (L/N)-san walked me to my apartment. "Alright Hoshino-san, this is where we say goodbye." We stood in front of my apartment, the sky now darkened. It was strange, for once you could see the stars above. "Thanks for taking me home (L/N)-san, here's to hoping we can meet up like this again soon" Alright Ai, plan A may be defunct, but there's always plan B! (L/N)-san started walking away, but I stopped him before he could. "W-Wait (L/N)-san one more thing!" He turned back to me with a curious look. "What is it, Hoshino-san?" I rushed up to him, before pulling him into a deep kiss, before pulling away. "A-Alrightthatsitbyebye!" I ran inside before he could respond. I did it! I-I mean I kissed him once before, but still... this one felt different. I wouldn't mind another... I... suppose...
No One's POV
(Y/N) was now left outside alone, contemplating what just happened. He touched his lips remembering her kiss, a large blush creeping onto his face. Today was certainly a day they'd both remember...
