MALAYSIAN SUFFIXES PARTICLES
1) La/Lah
In Malay, 'lah' is used to change a verb into a command or to soften its tone, particularly when usage of the verb may seem impolite.
For example :
A : Minum la ni - drink this (command)
B : Ye la - alright (soften the tone)2) Bai/Bhai (actual meaning: cibai - pu$$y)
to agree with someone or emphasising the word. For example :
A : Panas gila bhai harini - today so damn hot
B : Ye bhai - for real tho3) Sia/siak (actual meaning: sial - damn)
interchangeable with (bai/bhai).
For example :
A : Panas gila sia harini - today so damn hot
B : Ye sia - for real tho4) Do/doh (actual meaning: bodoh - stupid)
interchangeable with (sia/siak) and (bai/bhai).
For example :
A : Panas gila do harini - today so damn hot
B : Ye do - for real thoBhai/Sia/Doh actually tends to be a curse word but we make it shorter to make it sound a bit polite than the actual meaning. BUT you may use those words among your friends but a big NO to your parents or someone's older than you.
