"What's up, honey?" Bill asked.

He sat down at the little table that was right outside the door of the café Lainey had invited him to.

It was the next morning before school, and Lainey wanted some coffee and to have a chat with Bill.

"We're going on a date," Lainey said, trying to contain her excitement.

"Who?" Bill asked confusedly, leaning back and crossing one leg over the other.

"Your brother and I," she said.

"What?!" he exclaimed, leaning forward suddenly and slamming his palms onto the table.

"Yeah... we decided on it yesterday," she said.

"Yesterday...? Wait, is that why he left early? To come to your house? That little punk..." Bill said, practically having a conversation with himself.

"Bill, I need your advice," she said, leaning forward and staring up into his eyes.

Bill leaned back again and smiled.

"Why do you need my advice?" Bill asked.

"He's your twin! You'll know everything about him," Lainey exclaimed.

"Well, my honest advice would be to drop him and find someone more deserving of you," he said seriously.

The mood shifted and Lainey leaned back in her chair, a little disappointed.

"Why?" she asked.

"He likes you, and I don't want you to think otherwise," Bill began, "but I just don't know if he can commit."

"Oh..." Lainey said sadly.

"It's nothing against you, Lainey, you're a beautiful girl, inside and out," Bill said.

Lainey didn't say anything, she just stared at her feet.

"He's just been stuck in a player mindset for so long, I wouldn't want him to hurt you," Bill continued, "You've seen his interviews, I'm sure."

"What interviews?" Lainey asked, looking up at Bill curiously.

Bill sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Y'know, the ones where he's always like 'I only need love for one night,' and 'I don't think I'll ever find true love, blah blah blah,'" Bill said sarcastically, mocking Tom.

Lainey laughed.

"He said that?" Lainey asked, making a funny disgusted face.

"Yeah, I love him, but he's so stupid sometimes," Bill said.

Lainey just laughed and shook her head.

"Honestly, though, if you're gonna go on a date with him, DO NOT SLEEP WITH HIM," Bill emphasized, wagging his finger at Lainey.

"Isn't that what 'impresses him?'" Lainey asked, mocking Tom as well.

"He just says that so he can get more girls, in reality, I think he would respect you more if you showed restraint," Bill said.

"Mkay, I'll keep that in mind," she said, smiling.

A few hours later, she was in the midst of her fourth class period of the day.

Her phone buzzed to tell her she had a message. She grabbed her phone out of her pocket and flipped it open, reading who it was from.

It was from Tom.

She instantly got butterflies in her stomach, and tried not to make it obvious that she was on her phone so she wouldn't get in trouble.
