"Now is the time, to strike his heart,"
"But I can't, how could I? Kill a person,"
"You have to or he will kill you and the rest of the island,"
"Is there any other way to defeat him?
"Yes, but that will result in taking his powers,"
"Can I try that?"
I had no idea what was going on, but I did as he said and swung my sword at his heart. It deflected off of his armor and continued toward the ground in front of him.
He bent down trying to grab my arm. He missed. I turned my body and jumped back towards him. The moment I touched him, he let go of my arm as if it was burning. We both staggered backward. He was covered in burns and smoke. He coughed violently and tried again. I knew what was coming.
"Repeat after me, You go against the laws of nature and morality, but it is not by my hand that you shall die, all will be forgiven to you if you give into me and surrender your powers. For I am the supreme and I shall rule with dignity and equality."
He sat on the platform, panting like a dog. I looked down at him, his face held grimace and hatred. I held my hand on his head.
"You go against the laws of nature and morality, but it is not by my hand that you shall die, all will be forgiven to you if you give in to me and surrender your powers. For I am the supreme and I shall rule with dignity and equality."
His eyes poured with tears of gold, he let out an ear-piercing scream of anguish.
He returned to human size, and his army of dead fire soldiers disappeared and reappeared as live people of the fire tribe.
The skies cleared. I picked up his limp body and jumped from the platform to meet my friends in battle. They had armor of gold.
"It is done, war is over,"
Their armor of gold disappeared, and I placed Tanwen's body on the floor.
"I liked that gold armor, it suited me very nicely," Ryoko grumbled. I couldn't help but giggle at his pouting face.
"Is he dead?" Tatsuya asked.
"No, he's in a coma. After taking his powers there was a huge loss in his energy. He won't wake up for a while so take care of him,"
"As you wish," Kaida stated.
I walked off to the trees where the island dwellers hid.
"Come forth there is no far, as I have defeated the one thing that stands in this island's unity. I wish this island peace and property as you can once again rebuild as an island of unity."
The people of the island began to cheer.
"We shall start anew as one, with you leading us."
"Thank you for helping us,"
The villagers bowed their heads.
"You're welcome, we all must do our part to ensure that this place stays safe,"
I bowed my head as well.
"Goodbye, I hope to see you soon,"
"It will be my pleasure,"
I shrunk back to size. I walked back to my friends and hugged them tightly. I couldn't believe the outcome of the battle; I was glad we had survived.
-----------------------------------------
Days later we were back at the village where this whole adventure started, of course, it brought back horrible memories of seeing it destroyed. But with the help of many villagers old and new, we cleaned up the village and started to reconstruct Zaya's house.
Soon it was time for me to leave, but like a tradition here they insisted on an island farewell. As a multitude we walked to the western temple, making it just in time for the portal to open.
"Thank you for saving us, guardian Ayla! Please come visit!" The islanders yelled in sync.
I bowed as thank you.
I turned to my friends.
"Thank you so much for your help, wouldn't have made it to this point without you guys to help," I told them with a smile.
"Your welcome, I am going to miss you!" Kaida cried as she hugged me tightly.
"Thanks again," Tatusya smiled.
Wyvern and the twin dragons flew towards me licking my face gleefully.
I turned to krios after the dragons leaped away from me.
"I am sorry, but thank you for everything," Krios started with a look of disdain on his face.
"It's okay, but thank you for choosing the good side and helping me," I replied, hugging him as well.
Lastly, I turned to Ryoko who looked very sad, "I'll miss you the most, thank you for everything," I told him.
"I hate to see you go, but I wanted to say I like you," he answered with cheeks of soft pink.
"I like you too, I promise I'll be back," I said before kissing him on the lips lightly.
The whole island erupted in cheers and clapping.
Our lips separated, and I hugged him one more time before entering the portal.
