Relationship is earned by love, not by looks
Relationship is earned by trust, not by pity
Relationship is earned by effort, not by money
Relationship is earned by those who know how to love

I don't need love, I need someone to love
I don't need money, I need love
I don't need a girlfriend, I need a partner
I don't need a relationship, I need an intimate one

I can't help falling in love
I can't help getting confused
I can't help getting hurt
I can't help enduring the pain
I can't help making you happy
Even if I know you can't love me

This poem was written by Christian Philippe P. Momongan.

I included this here in this collection because first and foremost, he was the reason why I started writing poems.

One day back in fifth grade, in the middle of my math class, I got so bored. Not to sound disrespectful, I love my math teacher, but I already knew the lessons discussed that time so instead of listening, I did something for the first time.

I wrote a song.

(Right, I write songs, too. So if you want to listen to the songs I have written, they are available in all music platforms worldwide. Just follow @br.ent.official on Instagram and BR Entertainment on Facebook. More information are there.)

So yes, I wrote a song with my seatmates: Nicole and Trixe Ann.

It was the first song I ever wrote and funny as it sounds... It was a rap song.

And I will never release it because it was corny LOL.

But really... I was only into writing songs. Until I was in Grade 7, I started writing short novels, usually up to 20 chapters. And my friends will always read it. I never published it on wattpad, it was only written manually on a notebook. Exclusive for my bestfriends. Kathleen and Lyndo are top readers!

The same year, Christian borrowed my notebook which was full of lyrics of the songs I have written. Then when it was returned to me, as my bestfriend (Lyndo) flipped through the pages, he noticed a poem written there. I couldn't remember what it was anymore but I remember replying to it, which I titled "Collide".

And every time we walk home together, we would surrender the notebook after replying so the other one could write another piece and return it the next day. Yes, we were exchanging poems.

It was a cute and fun memory. A core memory of mine.

He was the sole reason why and how I started writing poems. So he deserves this page of this book.

I miss you, my friend! And congratulations for graduating with flying colors, you made it! I'm so happy for you! Love you always!
